One-Oh-Four Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I'm off on the motorbike to England tomorrow, to visit Flying Legends. Any other LSM Members present at Duxford? Cheers, Erik.
One-Oh-Four Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Time to get your license for motorbikes, Jeroen. Seeing as you're an Alfa (Romeo) male, you'd be just the type to ride a Ducati!
mgbgtv8steve Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Three generations of the Summerfields will be present at this wonderous gathering of aeronautic beauty on Saturday!! Blenheim,Seafire, P.36, P.40 and now a DB engined ME109G! 'Heaven is a place on Earth!!'

JaseGill Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Hi Erik. Sorry I missed you.I was there Saturday, flew in. What a show J.
dr_gn Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I went on Saturday too, really enjoyed it; the best Flying Legends display for quite a few years, and a huge crowd - I've not seen it as packed in a long time. Here are a few pics - I particularly liked the Bf109 and Sea Fury, and of course the fourteen(?) Spitfires. If you consider the museum too, it's way too much to see in a single day. It's a brilliant place:
Grimm Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Very cool, wish I could be there, but sadly I live across the pond. thanks for sharing those pics!
benjaminsummerfield Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 We had a great day, can't help but think the displays were very sedate though, I appreciate they are priceless air frames but every aircraft did virtually the same display. I've seen much more lively displays in the past, I think the Seafury and Avenger and Wildcat were probably the highlights.
Paulster Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 That looks like a great time. Need to get my ZX11 back together. 1
