Mish Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Made a start on this a few weeks ago but forgot to post here. Started on the HGW Sutton Harness And today I finished the harness And reassembled the seat back into the cockpit. And the side panels going on And all buttoned up 3
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 31, 2015 Administrators Posted August 31, 2015 Thats a great start! The only nit pick is to try to drape the seatbelts a bit more against the seat. It would make it look more natural. Are these HGW or Radu's? 1
Mish Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 They're HGW and I haven't finished placing them yet
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 31, 2015 Administrators Posted August 31, 2015 They're HGW and I haven't finished placing them yet Aaaahhh! Carry on! 1

Mish Posted September 2, 2015 Author Posted September 2, 2015 Good start Mish, What is your opinion about the Revell Spit? Cees Not as good as the Tamiya (yes I know it's a later Mk) but vakue for money it's great I have to say that I think it needs a little AM resin and PE throwing at it I've got another to build and so far I'm not put of building it. 2
Wingco57 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Agreed Mish, The past few months a great number of finished Models have been published on the web, with very nice results too. And the price is an absolute bargain. Thanks, Cees 1
One-Oh-Four Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Nice progress, Mish! I have the model too but can't seem to locate the Barracuda resin I bought for it.... probably something to do with how tidy I file these things away.... 1
Mish Posted September 5, 2015 Author Posted September 5, 2015 Made some more progress today with the wings 2
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted September 5, 2015 Administrators Posted September 5, 2015 Nice! Looks like you're almost ready for paint!
Mish Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Finally got back to the bench on Sunday and made some progress; rudder and tailplanes on, wingtips and lower engine cowl. Small amount of Mr Disloved Putty required in the joins. More next weekend 1
Woodshedwings Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Well done! Looks like you remembered to fit the prop spindle before cementing the fuselage halves together. I will have to retro-fit mine! 1
Mish Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 That's the sort of thing I normally forget Forgot to mention, she is now going to be a Mk.I and not a Mk.II 2
stehlingsg Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Nice work Mish! Puts mine to shame. Those wing tips are a pain! Gonzo 1
Mish Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Thanks but I have the paint job coming up so plenty of time to make a mess of it yet
Mish Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 Got a little more done today. Aileron, elevator, flaps, oil cooler and radiator all on along with other little bits and bobs. More soon 2
Mish Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 Got a little more done today, fitted the canopy and masked it ready for paint. 3
Mish Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Got a bit more done Primed and preshaded And sky on the undersides 1
Wingco57 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Good progress Mish, Will you be using masks for the camouflage or spray them freehand? Cees
Mish Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 I've got some masks that I'm reviewing for a friend who has just started making them so I will be trying them out. It'll be a first for me as never used any masks before.
