daz greenwood
I started this last month in between packing. DSC_2843_11214 by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr Progress has been slow. This is how far I've gotten on the build. DSC_2845_11216 by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr I never build anything without references, otherwise there is no point in doing a build eh? DSC_2844_11215 by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr And alongside my Tiger II DSC_2848_11219 by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr After Dinner today I knocked up the 7-speed AK 7-200 transmission. daz greenwood
The AK 7-200 has now been painted in RLM 02. Why? Well look at the lower portion of the un-restored 7-200. DSC_2900_11269 by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr DSC_2901_11270 by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr This is an un-restored 7-200 transmission, and that lower portion looks like RLM 02 to me, or an equivalent colour. 28276717_1947791745249172_4770394428487800363_n by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr

daz greenwood
First discrepancy I've found with the kit are that the MG ammo bags are a little on the small side, compared to Meng ones from my King Tiger (the MG ammo bags were on the small side in their King Tiger's too) So I'll be using the Meng ones. daz greenwood
I noticed the fire extinguisher on the left wasn't sitting right. So now I've rectified it. DSC_3485_11849 by Darren Greenwood, on Flickr

Daniel_Roxy
hi very interesting build but what fought my attention most is that tiger. The lower hull you showed in that picture is very similar to a tiger 1i got from a charity shop. My intention was to repair the tank but I don't know we're to get parts or how to repair it as IV had no luck with getting any parts I do have to stick back on. There is loos parts in afew places damage to the insides around the engine. I believe it's missing 2 ambition storage racks. Side parts that cover the tracks on the front and back. The gun is missing from the bow gunner spot. Steering wheel sheets turret components and much more. Any help or suggestions would be wonderful. Especially if there is a way to get spare or replacement parts.

daz greenwood
Started painting the engine. The colour is about a right match for the engine I'm copying. daz greenwood
The motor is now complete. The Maybach HL230 P30 was a re-bored HL210 P30 to increase the displacement from 21,000cc to 23,000cc. During production of the HL230 the maximum rpm was reduced to 2500 by the factory. There were two versions of the HL230, the P30 as used in the Panther and King Tiger and Jagdtiger and the P45, as used in the Mid and Late Tiger's and the Sturmtiger. The only decals that come for the engine in the kit is the data plate on the engine at the front. The label for the air filter's came from my decal bank.
