The Bronco indie link tracks don't quite fit the Tamiya kit so good thing you have the Fruil ones. The other bit of AM I'm using is the DEF Models mantlet with the canvas cover. Thanks Carl. I was considering doing the kit without the mantlet cover like the Cuban Example. TREX makes a couple of versions ; early and late....which to buy? Is the kit an Early or late Comet? I think the kit fabric cover looks ok to me.The TREX resin tracks look great but a failed attempt with their T55 tracks has me worried....tiny pins and extremely fragile. Anyway I'm glad to see you're building the kit😀 2
DocRob Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I started weathering the Trotzky-mobil, Schneider tank and got heavily bored, I needed some fiddly and challenging stuff, so I started with the 1/20 Ebbro Lotus 49C. I will use a load of extras, like aluminum funnels, rivets and fabric seatbelts. The kit has only a decal for the belts, that´s why I chose a set from MFH. They were indeed fiddly to assemble, but way better looking than a decal. Getting the 0,5 mm rivet into the top fasteners was nerve wrecking, but in the end, the driver's safety was ensured. I may start a WIP, when I´m back from Portugal Cheers Rob 7 1
belugawhaleman Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Still working on my Tamiya H39 ..........Just finished assembly of the Friulmodel Tracks. They were a struggle, as I said before, but they look good I think. Next up is painting....... Here are some pics. Of the tracks installed on the model....... 5
BlrwestSiR Posted September 16 Posted September 16 The tracks do look good there Paul. So worth the effort. It's a small tank, that's for sure. Carl 2 1
Count0 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 1/72 Eduard P-51D-10 from the 8th AF twin pack, which allows you to build a D-5 and a D-10 And a 1/72 Bandai Tie Advanced. And not visible in the back somewhere the 1/48 Eduard P-39 Wood grain for the mustang floor, waiting for it to dry before I add the black tar overcoat. And the chiclet sized life raft pack for the seat back. If thats what that is. Idk, but Eduard doesn't give you one, unless you but a printed seat. I can make my own. Epoxy putty. waiting for the little white buttons. 5
BlrwestSiR Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Those Bandai Star Wars kits are fantastic. I've done a few, including the PG Millennium Falcon and the Tie Advanced. Carl 3

They were nice kits too. Funny thing, to me anyway, is that Fine Molds and Bandai disagree on the size of these various Studio scale models they referenced. Just like models of real objects. 3

FullArmor Posted September 21 Posted September 21 KV-1. The pictures were taken in natural lighting (which is difficult because it is autumn and there is not much light available 😀). 7
KevinM Posted Thursday at 09:42 PM Posted Thursday at 09:42 PM Just finished the little 1/72 Revell Do-17 night fighter. The kit was pretty good in it's fit but I managed to droop the L/tailplane a few degrees was more worried about the seam and forgot the 90' angle. 5

Yes indeed, as painful as it is there’s no decent kit of those types so some tlc is required. Drawing and photos are essential. And lots of resin putty Lots 4
