CrankyCrafstman Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 Hey Nige I've never had a problem with it. It seems to go down nice and smooth and drys fairly quick. I use all Vallejo paint, thinners and cleaners only. Hope this helps. Ron G
CrankyCrafstman Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Thanks Mark, it's really tedious work about 5 hours of painting taking my time. I still have to do the instrument panel decals then final assembly of the pit. 1
CrankyCrafstman Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Ok here are some update photos. I still need to do touch ups and add details. The exhausts are galvanicly grown metal I belive they are from a company called REXx. They are the same process as the old Moskit stuff. I found them on scalemates. They are an exact match to the Tamiya parts. They also make them for alot of other planes. So let me what you think Thanks Ron. G 4
Peterpools Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 Ron Terrific progress on the engine - details look great Keep 'em comin Peter
CrankyCrafstman Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Thanks Peter Right now I'm working on the seat belts and instrument panel fiddly little decals. Then I have to tackle the dreaded landing gear. Ron G
CrankyCrafstman Posted February 10, 2019 Author Posted February 10, 2019 Took a break from the cockpit. I started on the pilot figure first coat of paint, I still need to add the detail painting and a wash then a flat coat. Ron G think He'll pass as a Zero pilot. 1
Daywalker Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 I see it's been a while since you posted any progress on this one. I just found it while researching the A6M3 Model 22, any progress in it? 1
