zavod44
We need to start something with these model companies. There are new companies seemingly starting every day. There needs to be three kits released in 1/32 that are currently neglected. The list is as follows..... Aichi D3A Val dive bomber Nakajima B6N Jill torpedo bomber Nakajima Kikka Jet fighter The first two are grossly overlooked by kit manufacturers and the third would just be cool....who can we contact to get the ball rolling to get some company to make these.....

There's actually noone to call to get the ball rolling. They make the kits they want to make without our input. Do you call Ford and ask them to make a certain car for you? 5
1to1scale
HpH is probably closest to that, they actually listened to the forums and somewhat release kits that builders want. I believe some of the influence in switching to plastic is the desire to grow. They seem to be pretty good at filling holes, the Helldiver they already released in resin, decals done, research, PE, etc, so it makes sense they make this their first. These releases will all sell the first 1000, which is the batch sizes they plan to release. This really makes sense, build molds, pump out a 1000, sell them, then if it warrants, make some more, the later runs could be done in lower quantities, since they don’t need to recoup the tooling costs. The real trick is to not fall into the trap of releasing a kit that no one will buy. We don’t need another FW-190, or P-51, or Zero. They need to concentrate on the iconic aircraft that are NOT currently released. A couple Japanese bombers? Betty and Kate seem like a couple good ones, maybe a new tool Mig 15 and 17? Dassault Mystere or a Mirage I anyone? How about a Sikorsky H-34, flying banana, Sea King? There is no shortage of good choices. oh, and PLEASE give us a Mig-25!
Sir Desmond Glazebrook
I think everyone would offer their own individual choices. For example, I would not want a Kikka. As Japanese aircraft are my favorite subject, I would certainly choose a B5N or a Ki-55 over a Kikka any day. So already we differ. I am very happy to learn we are getting a Val. A Viggen would be sensational.

zavod44
Spoiler I'm just saying this....these companies have to think of something to make, and if they are on the fence or deciding to make something new and there's a bunch of people clamoring about a particular subject then maybe that will sway their thoughts. Also with all the new companies coming out, they need to set themselves apart by doing something unique. As far as the car thing, people have been saying they need more connectivity to their phones in their cars so guess what? All the new head units have incredible connectivity to your mobile phone. Do you think the big companies did that because they felt charitable? No it's because everyone squawked about it. I guess sometimes if you want something you need to figure out how to go get it. I hate sitting back and feeling like

Actually, what you did was akin to ordering the Ho 229 from Zoukei-Mura's own website direct along with all the bells and whistles they offer, rather than go to your local hobby shop and hope they had the options available in-store. The Tahoe has been available since 1995; Chevy made nothing new in the photo above. Now, if you had called Chevy and asked them to design you an ALL-NEW vehicle designed from the ground up based on what you wanted to see in a new product then you'd have a comparison.

MARU 5137
I am going to phone or write to Ferrari and ask them to make ME an inexpensive version of their newest Ferrari. IN BRIGHT RED! Thanks Jeff.
1to1scale
Red!?!? It’s funny, because the oddball colors that nobody wants end up being the most expensive cars many years later.
