Not sure Harv. In my experience it's similar to the Tamiya acrylics ie alcohol rather than water based. It's always reacted well with Mr Levelling. Sorry don't know more than that as it's not that easy to get over here.

Is Gunze Mr Color acrylic  ? Need to know quick.....harv

Mr Color is lacquer based and their Aqueous line is acrylic. Both can be thinned with Mr Color Leveling thinner.

Hope that helps.

Dude...  Free your mind from little bottles that say exactly what you want them to say and drain your wallet.

Open your perspective to the ease of mixing Luftwaffe paint....

RLM 02 is just a light grey with a hint of green, or green and brown...  Lighten with white if doing landing gear.

RLM 66 is just dark grey

RLM 76 is just sky blue lightened (a lot) with white and a tiny amount of green added

RLM 65 is just sky blue lightened slightly with white

RLM 74 is just medium grey with a hint of green

RLM 75 is just light grey with a tiny hint of purple

But if you must have acrylic, both MIG and AMMO make sets for early and late Luftwaffe.  But they are pure acrylic and fragile.  I usually thin them with Future when airbrushing to make them stronger.

Good luck!

I have a full range of Mr Color RLM paints, but mine all have to be thinned with either Mr Color's thinner or lacquer thinner. Alcohol does not seem to do it, at least when I've tried.
