  1. This looks really impressive! I hate filling that seam for along the gun trough too, takes care of that nicely. http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=50546
  2. Would really like to do the Revell He 111P as a KG 55 plane with the improvised night camo scheme but I'm a little nervous of how something that big would survive the move next year.
  3. Battle of Britain 75th Anniversary GB next year!
  4. Excellent! I love Swiss 109's!
  5. Absolutely superb, Jeroen!
  6. Despite your decal woes, looks great Doug!
  7. The appeal of the HGW was that you had a specific set made for particular aircraft. I have the Archer sets for smaller jobs but I think they'd be cost prohibitive for doing an entire 1/32 aircraft. Looks like I'll stick with the old tried and true methods. Thanks for the input!
  8. Yup, although it's a nice kit, from a purely "ease of build" and engineering standpoint I still prefer the Hasegawa G-6.
  9. Jeff, Thanks for the tutorial! My camera is a Sony NEX-F3, I believe I have the capability to manually adjust all the settings that you mentioned. I do have a tripod as well, I'm going to do a little experimentation this weekend to see if I can improve on what I've done.
  10. Looking good, John. I had a problem with my windscreen being too narrow and I had to build it up with putty. I'm not aware that anyone else had this issue though so maybe it was an anomaly. The whole front cowling section is a tad fiddly though IMO.
  11. Anyone have any experience with these? Thinking of taking the plunge on the set they have for the Dora 9 but was wondering how much of a pain in the rear they are to use. Also concerned about mask compatibility, once they're down is it safe to use masking tape and Montex type mask without fear of them coming up?
  12. Excellent! Montex now makes masks for this one so I might have to get around to doing one.
  13. Hoping to be back in July so I can get that stuff out of there and we can throw back a few!
  14. Yes, did you notice that huge bump on the fuselage spine just aft of the cockpit? It just kind of jumps right out and smacks you in the face, right?
  15. Erik, truthfully I don't what my aperture setting was. I was playing around with the ISO settings manually, other than that I'm pretty much clueless on this stuff. I'll play around with that next time though! Thanks for the input.
  16. I bought a new camera late last year but really didn't put much effort into figuring things out until recently. If you've seen my previous work you know that I normally photograph outdoors in a vignette setting. Took a little time playing with my settings manually and was pretty pleased with the outcome, much better results than I've been able to achieve previously. Here are some shots, any critiques from photo experts and/or neophytes appreciated. The kits are the 1/32 Eduard Bf 109E-7/Trop and the 1/32 Trumpeter Bf 109G-6.
  17. Very cool, love that paint scheme!
