  1. I’m considering the purchase of a hobby air compressor and airbrushes to achieve new levels of detail and weathering I'm looking for. . My first question is this, can I use my existing nail gun compressor adjusted to the correct PSI for a hobby airbrush using an adaptor to fit the airbrush hose size? If not I have been looking on eBay and have found several compressors kits with three airbrushes from $118.00/$159.00 US. What say you??? Ralph.
  2. This is my shop next to the train room. I have all the needed woodworking tools and use this layout bench for painting etc!
  3. Wow fantastic job. Love the paint scheme!
  4. Oh wow I just finished my Ju88. I may have to do another one with all that I've learned here in the past few days, lol!!
  5. Oh fantastic to have a fellow model railroader in the mix. I just started this layout switching from DC to DCC witch I love. You are right I find my skill set constructing buildings, houses and sensory etc has helped in my model aircraft endeavors!
  6. What do you use to bond the brass to the plastic?
  7. Here's a picture of my train and plane room in the basement. There are other aircraft members of the ceiling Air Force hanging on the right not shown!! A also build all the buildings etc on my model railroad!
  8. Thanks for all the warm welcomes and the info concerning glues. Like many of us here I started my modeling career at a young age with cars and planes, Tester Glue and Tester paints brushed on, lol! My skill set over the years has improved, not nearly to the level I've seen here, but I was still using good old Tester Glue in a tube with mostly good results but have seen other products avalible at my local Hobby Town USA and wondered how well the worked. I just recently purchaced a magnified headband which to say the least "has opened my eye, lol!!" I have also, thanks to this site, learned valuable techniques that I have begun to us in my modeling. Thanks again and I look forward to my learning experience here. Ralph.
  9. Well my little hobby area isn't as grand as many others but it works well for me. I also have a full basement woodworking shop where I do all my painting.
  10. I've been using the same tube glue since a kid. What are the better options out there? Thanks. Ralph.
