  1. I agree I need to visit another Beaufighter build, lol! Love the idea of hand brushing the D-Day stripes as you are right they didn't always do a neat job of them and most were hastily painted. I look forward to watching your progress!
  2. Great start and will look forward to following your build!
  3. Hi Cees. Don't know how I missed your Beaufighter build. It's really coming along well! I built one just before joining LSM. It was the last of my spray can, Tester Glue Tube models, lol! Had a terrible time with the old decals as these kits are 30 year old plus vintage Revell kits. Seeing your build makes me want to revisit a Beaufighter build using my vastly improved skills! Here's a picture over-spray and all, lol!!
  4. Welcome to the forums. Sorry to read about your terrible loss. Will be watching your build with interest. By the way great idea to raise funds for charity. Take care and happy modeling.
  5. I've used Vallejo water base weathering washes with go success so far. The Ju88 will be the first build where I will seal with Future before applying decals and then seal again afterwards finally using Tester Matt finish which I'm told works very well. I didn't do this on the Bf110 and because it was painted matt black the decals on the fuselage had a slight smoky look after they dried. All a learning curve, lol!!
  6. That's a fantastic idea Paul. I have a 1/72 kit that would be perfect for that. LOL I would have never thought of that. Thanks again.
  7. Yay my first addition of Aces High Magazine is here!!!
  8. Beautiful job. What a classic aircraft!
  9. Fantastic Cees! Love the look. I have a Revell Hawker Typhoon that I'm looking forward to building this year so you've given my some inspiration! Ralph.
  10. Looking good Mike. The cockpit layout and the detail is excellent!
  11. Mine shipped yesterday so should have it tomorrow. I'll sell it for $1000.00, lol!
  12. Incredible craftsmanship!!!
  13. Oh good to see that the kit /build can be resurrected. Funny that you're doing springs as I was just going to try that myself with some tools my wife has!
  14. Wow fantastic job. Love the weighted tires. Just applied that this evening to my Ju88 build after seeing it done several times on the forum. Really like that look! Ralph
  15. OMG!!! That's a shame. I'd Skype you but it's much to late your time. Can that be fixed?? I dearly hope so as you had the makings of a stellar kit. Very sad that happened :-(
  16. Wow looking really great. Love the tailpipe detail. After using the resin conversion kit for the Ju88 I'm not ready for a complete resin kit assembly! Need a bit more scary experiences with resin first, lol!! Ralph
  17. Great job Tim! Love the color scheme and chipping of the fuselage and wings. Especially like the chipping where panel lines cross as it really adds interest!
  18. Okay received my riveting wheel yesterday with its five different wheels! Is there a guide to what size rivets German, US, British, Japanesse WW2 aircraft used so I'm using the correct wheel? Ralph
  19. Nice work area guy. By the way I've been watching The Young and the Restless since Nikki and Paul were hippie flower kids, lol!!! Ralph.
  20. Okay now what do I do??
  21. Such beautiful work!! Ralph
  22. Beautiful job. Like the subtle weather wash and panel lines. I had the same problem with ill fitting resin parts building my Ju88. Not really impressed with resin! Ralph
  23. Oh oh you fell victim too, lol!!!
