  1. Hi Neil, That canopy looks very nice already, but as you say the slope at the front is quite steep. For more information see the drawing I posted in the thread. I see you fuselage windows for the WOP and navigator have already been fitted, are those the kit parts? Cheers Cees
  2. Hi Neil, Good question. I haven’t made up my mind yet. The kit side windows are very brittle and not very clear. We’ll see when I get to that part. in the meantime I have started on the pilot’s floor, mostly done from memory just for the fun of it. Here is the basic floor. Cheers Cees
  3. Ouzo for you. That looks fantastic. Cees
  4. Made a new frame 7 and the bottom part of the engine controls box behind it. Cees
  5. It needs it, but it is fun. Following Neil (Woody37) I will use as many kitparts as I can such as the navigator and flight engineer panels. Making a bulkhead gives some much needed to the fuselage. @ Neil, I saw your canopy master, it looks promising. Cheers Cees
  6. Some more work being done. Portside frames and stringers ready. Time for some interior detail. Cees
  7. The top one is a Merlin engined P-40 though (F or L?) Cees
  8. I am loving this. The Wimpy is one of my all time favourites. Cees
  9. I have made a start on the portside too. Cees
  10. I’m a pure prop guy but some jets I do like such as the Lightning. Looks great, well done. Cheers Ceed
  11. Ah this is a nice subject. The kit is good but you have to be careful with the joint between the tail and the fuselage. Better join the tailparts to the fuselage parts so you get to full fuselage halves. There will be a step if you don't. The E didn't have the extra frame in the windscreen and it needs to be sanded and polished out. I build mine as a KNIL (Dutch East Indies) aircraft. Will be following this for sure. Cees
  12. Beautiful as always, will you be smudging that pallet too?
  13. Starboardside done. I also made a ledge at the top to provide some glueing surface for attaching the cockpit transparencies. At least that’s the plan. Cees
  14. Not masterclass just sticking strips.....
  15. Here some more pics as the Manchester and Lanc noses are similar. Cees
  16. Been some while but the Halifax is the focus of attention at the moment. But while in London the past few days I also visited the IWM Lambeth and noticed that the Lancaster cockpit held there had the bulletproof glass fitting, I thought it was a Manchester thing. Learning all the time. Cees
  17. After doing some Christmas shopping in London back to work. I built the steps leading forward into the nose compartment. Cees
  18. It it itches you have to scratch it. Very nice. Cees
  19. Can't you make those "happy mistakes" (quoting Bob Ross) part of the story? They call it hangar rash. Cees
  20. Didn’t have much time today but managed to make a start with adding the interior details with the frames first. Cees
  21. Nice and a pity about the little tape accident. Are you going to lighten up the colours? It looks quite dark.
