Yes, some minor mods needed, but this is modeling, not box shaking.

This scheme for the HK kit. I’ll go all wartime with the WNW kit. This scheme just cries out to be modeled.

Trumpeter P-47D is next

One of the few models you can legitimately weather to within an inch of it’s life. They were flown until they literally fell apart. -

But the P-51A is so, so SO cool! -

Ouch! Too bad about that 190. That actually COULD almost buff out. -
hk models Lancaster B Mk.I, R5868, PO-S (S-Sugar)

Good to see you here, man. It’s decidedly laid back and friendly around here. Nobody, and I mean nobody tries to cause issues, matter of fact, the only issues we had were when an Admin and a Mod from there came here to sling brown poopy stuff around until they were shown the door. I was exactly 6 years too late coming to LSM, man. I plan on building one of these as soon as it’s available. Straight OOB as much as possible too to achieve a white/nmf/red lightning stripe postwar RCAF. -
Bump... This thread's still alive and kickin'

Belgium Air Force F-16 destroyed ..Ooops!

This doesn’t look right. There’s no bullet strikes or damage of any kind on the wall. -
And that’s a very early short nose version too. Once upon a time, the Clunk was the only all weather interceptor and in service. Everything else was a day fighter like the Sabre. I always wondered why nobody restored one of these to flying condition. Of course the first thing that happened to them was that their Orendas were pulled to be used in the various Sabres still out there. And the Clunk takes two Orendas. Might be tough to find, these days.

Well, I guess that fire extinguisher didn’t help. -

You can’t make this stuff up if you tried. A couple of new F-16s on the shopping list, I guess..... -
Martin, this is looking good. I just had a crazy thought... Looking at that flat black hood,.... I wonder how a flat black scoop would look... or an area of flat black like some 60s cars did. Mostly Dodge, I think... Well, on second thought, that scoop doesn’t really stand proud enough. I dunno. Just acid flashbacks, I guess....

Lavochkin 7
Clunkmeister replied to williamj's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Yeah I have mine sitting in que with full Lavochkin-Martin fuselage mods already done, and it just cries out for the full Reno treatment. Lavochkin sure knew how to design sexy into a warplane. -

Now that's probably my favorite jet of all time. The sexiest jet in the world until the Su-27 and Mig-29 happened along. -

Man, I just love the little scooter. One of the nicest builds I've seen of this one. Great job! -
Beautiful job! Like GusMac said, there's absolutely nothing subtle about the Thud. Brute power, brute strength, just IN YOUR FACE All American style.

hk models Lancaster B Mk.I, R5868, PO-S (S-Sugar)
Clunkmeister replied to James H's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
The plastic's looking great so far, James, easily as nice as we were led to believe it would be. I'm looking forward to the final result, and I'll definitely be building one of these, along with the WnW kit when it arrives. This, along with the long awaited B-24, is forcing me to consider adding at least one new wing onto my house.
