  1. Whoever painted that top one, yeah, waaay too much vodka
  2. Tony, welcome to the world of HK models. They’re beautifully done on the outside, but give you the absolute bare minimum of extra details. He good news is that the “bare canvas” rules apply, and you can make one show stopping model out of it with little work other than some AM and time.
  3. I’ll just lay this out here, to get my two Soviet friends all hot and bothered.
  4. That Spey powered Brit Toom is one I’ll gladly stand in line for. Maybe Airfix’ll release one 10 seconds after HK? And RoG will release a Ju-52 for $12.95 two days after HK announces theirs.
  5. Yeah I’m onboard for the B-47. RCAF scheme for sure. The B-52 might be a bridge too far for me.
  6. HGW belts are truly amazing. I use Radu’s as well, but ahagaw (typo, but for Harv: HGW. I sure love autocorrect) has belts for everything, and they look awesome when done. Carl filled me in on the leaving the buckles on the frets, and it’s taken 95% of the stress out of assembly.
  7. I read the entire WNW Lanc thread over on TOS, and there sure seems there’s plenty of angst over this.
  8. That Sir is the understatement of the year! A accurate Photo-40B will be incredibly welcomed by me. I have the old Craftworks resin kit, and I really don’t want to build a crazy valuable collector kit if at all possible.
  9. I talked to him yesterday and he’s gonna try to get more. I had shown him a month ago what it can do and waxed poetic on the stuff. Trust me when I say, it’s magic stuff. Much thinner than regular epoxy, but not runny. 12 hour epoxy, rock hard in 24 hours. What I love is how it fills gaps and levels itself. Put it on joints and it’s almost a gap sealer by default. It’s super hard to get into the country, why, I don’t know. YMMV, but it’s improved my resin builds 200% easily.
  10. Landing gear, nose, cockpit, seat, canopy, exhaust, wing anhedral, intakes, shoulders, panel lines, you name it, it needs it, it's a total rework, but with some plastic surgery, Zacto's goodies, resin nozzle, and the HPH set, it'll be darn close I think.
  11. That Sir, is the best Lanc scheme anywhere, anyplace, any time. Those 1950s RCAF Lancs were gorgeous!
  12. The HK kit will also be great, and I intend on building one. I love the Lanc way too much to avoid it. Now please, please, please, give me Barnes Wallis's other masterpiece creation, the Wellington bomber. With WNW in scale fabric and formers, OMG that would be bloody spectacular in every single way.
  13. I for one couldn't really care less what guys over there think. One or two guys are going absolutely ballistic over this, as in waaaaaay over the top. I'm All about this. As mentioned before, Sir Peter marches to his own drum as does Mr. Tamiya. He can do what he wants, it's his Company. He could have made another 109, or even a Cessna 172. But instead, it's going to be the absolute best Lancaster that could ever be produced as a plastic model in our scale, ever It's going to be bloody SPECTACULAR, boys and girls!
  14. This will, in one swoop, correct many of the base kit’s deficiencies. YES!
  15. This will be done. It’s what I’ve been waiting for to continue with my stalled Mug-23 project. I purposely put mine away when they announced this was in development.
  16. It’s good we have the happy folks here. The butthurt looms large on TOS.
  17. In a few hours, Europe will get out of bed for Friday work. Then, let the insanity loose.
