  1. So, how do you know that? Hmmmmmm?
  2. Picture from an original sales brochure.
  3. Meanwhile in Texas.....
  4. She’s not much to look at, but she’s a genuine 59 T-Bird droptop with a 352 and Cruiseomatic trans. Full load with factory air as well. She’ll be some work, but nothing I haven’t done a few times before. All the chrome needs redoing, the stainless needs polishing, the top has a hole in the canvas, and she needs a full interior. Come to think of it, she needs a full rebuild, although the body is virgin and rust free, and the powertrain is decent. Most folks like the 55-57 baby birds, but I like the classic 50’s cruiser look of the 58-60 birds. Cars way, way ahead of their time. This one rides and drives as new. She’s just old and needs complete cosmetics from sitting open in the Texas sun for 40 years..
  5. Looking good. One will be on my bench, followed by the WNW model. I think I’ll build one oob with postwar RCAF white and nmf. WNW will be a war weary version. Thanks for the review, James.
  6. The old girl followed me home.
  7. I’ve never had to deal with eyeglasses whatsoever. My vision is still perfect at a distance, but now I have issues focusing up close. it sucks getting old.
  8. “Suck it up, buttercup” is a common phrase here as well. The meaning definitely gets lost in translation and by region...
  9. Seatbelt assembly week and I can’t see a blessed thing.....
  10. Truly stunning. Mine’s stalled out on my bench because I can’t decide on CDL or grey wings

  12. 87 degrees here today. A/C on, beautiful blue sky, I love Texas.
  13. On my iPad, it’s short and fat, like me! Wouter, this is one beautiful build! Did you ever have any extra instrument panels reproduced? Because if you did, I’d love to buy one for my 388. Ernie
  14. Awesome news, James. To be honest, the HK Lanc may turn out to be the deal of the pack. If the test shot looks good, and the test builds are good, given HK's price point, and assuming that it needs little more AM than wheels and gun barrels, I'll buy and build one for sure. That's an absolute certainty
  15. Yup. New pics up on WNW website, and the details are mind numbing.
  16. Back to P-51B. Pieced together some HGW seatbelts tonight and have them draped on the seat. It’s looking much better.
  17. Well, it’s a project in between magic Mustang moments. So it’ll go slow.
  18. A brand new Aero Vodochny and a beat up old Antonov ought to be enough to bring back memories.
  19. Wow Pete! This is amazing. It looks real. That’s all I can say, man.
  20. And I dragged this out, just to get PeterPools all worked up and Smitty and Martin salivating. And it’s one of my favorite jets of all time Maybe next year, who knows. But not till I have a clear bench
