    Beautiful blue Scott...... love the details on the intake plenum too....... can you not disable the horn chirp? I think that is annoying as well......silly question..... did you read the instructions? ( owner's manual), the owner's manual in my new ride is 463 pages, although a lot of it I can skip... child seat stuff, seat belt stuff, trailer towing stuff ( pulled semi trailers for years ) but still..... I 'did' read the book....... no emoticon with a halo.....

    My new ride is 'keyless', and I was sitting in it yesterday at the dealership, sill not sure this old dog can get used to that....... I'm scared I will leave the fob in the house , go start her up, drive away , and then I would be diddled............................ out of range as they say....... might have to get a string, around my neck, like a 'neck noodle' that the yuppy guys wear for their glasses, or 'idiot mittens'.............. so would that be 'idiot key fob'?...............................OR 'an idiot with a key fob'........................... maybe you guys better not answer that ........I'm sure I will love it, but it is sure something new for this old hound.....

    I like this guy, and his reviews...... SO...............FINALLY, after all the silly questions and a few weeks of research, I have decided ( for now) that maybe the ceramic coating may not be for me , just yet....... reason is for now, is that I'm not sure I can change my old school ways of detailing and polishing......it is the old dog new tricks thing..... heavy on the old dag part......so with that said, and a few emails back and forth to a good friend of mine who worked for Ferrari, and Jaguar in the UK, and says this polish or wax rather is the ONLY product, factory authorized for use by Ferrari, Jaguar, AND Rolls Royce, I thought.... " what the Hell, IF it is good enough for those guys, it is 'probably' good enough for my NEW Chevy" I really kind of like this guy from the UK with his reviews, he seems to know what he's talking about and he speaks my language......this stuff is available, at, of all places Canadian Tire... not cheap, but this is what I'm going to give a go to.....

    Me too..... BUT there maybe something to be said for ONE MORE......... " F- YOU ! " or " Wish you were coming with me"?? or "See you there.... SOON !"........ Knowing how I am, I would probably be just wallowing in my own self pity or something..... 'Oh poor me' comes to mind.... I hope not, and I hope that IF I do find out, that I am to soon depart, I hope I can stand up, like you guys and my friend Doug, and show some dignity....... I hope.....

    .................. so.................................. what did the Doc say?? Probably like here in Canada, you have to wait a month for test results...... Harv , IF I were your doc, my prescription would be for you to have what every man needs now and again................. A very thick Porterhouse Steak, a strange piece of tail, and a swift kick in the arse, that will put you back on the straight road................... check that prescription with your doc, and I'm sure he will say yes that will work....... let us know how you are doing buddy....

    Thank you guys............. ALL very good comments and information...... yes I agree he is very courageous, and is handling this like 'a man', and a gentleman.....I guess the first thing that got me thinking and took me by surprise is the fact that he took the time to even think of me......and that he thought enough of me to consider calling and talking.... don't get me wrong, it was a great conversation, and he was his usual self, laughing and swearing like normal, a conversation I will not soon forget. It was just quite obviously a phone call that one doesn't get on a regular basis ( and thank the good Lord for that !) and possibly one I will never get again as with most folks. I DO consider myself very lucky to have him think enough of me to take precious time and make the call...... guys, I just want you all to know I didn't make this post for any sympathy , I was just so shocked, surprised, and just a little sad.................. I really wanted to let you guys know just how strong my friend Doug is, and what a surreal ( if that's the correct term) it was, AND that he considered MY thoughts, and feelings by letting me know what's going on BEFORE I read it in the 'paper'....... it just makes a guy think a little, just how much influence one has on another. Seems to me we ( well I , can't speak for you guys) get caught up in all the local, federal, and world B/S, and some times lose sight of the real close stuff...... I'm just a regular guy ( kind of redneckish , sorta..) and don't delve into a lot of philosophical stuff, but today............... there is a ton of stuff that really doesn't matter much...... the phone call , just made me think a little bit , and I wanted to share that with you guys......

    Thanks guys, I have to agree totally, I was really taken aback by his candor, and his kindness..... I really felt privileged to be one of the few to receive a call like that, although it is VERY hard to keep from breaking down , but reflecting on his courage and his thoughtfulness, it is something I never ever thought I would be part of....... it is very hard to think about...... thanks for your kind thoughts .......

    So,..................................... this afternoon, I am sitting on my fat ass in the house ( it snowed yesterday so no going outside ) watching an old re-run of Ice Pilots, and the phone rings...................... on the other end is a friend of mine who I worked with back i the day ( mid '80's ) on the Highways Department Hydro Seeder......, he says hi, and then a long silence....... then says he is 'diddled" ( well he didn't use THAT word, but you know what I mean), I asked what he was on about......................... he proceeded to tell me he has about 3 weeks left................... to say I was shocked was an understatement............................I couldn't believe the courage he had to say 'good bye'..... he also told me how much he liked me and how highly he thought of me................ again I was shocked............... he said he was ok with what was going to happen, and he is at peace with it.......... wow...... I'm not sure I could do that .....it really brought a whole lot of stuff to the forefront........ I wasn't sure what to say, but we had a great chat... I told him I was very sad, and he brought a tear to my eye... he said not to worry, all is good.... wow, again, I'm not sure I could do that..... he said he had a good run at it he is 78, which isn't old in my book...... never the less, I am sad today..... damn this stuff is hard.... he is very strong to do that and it was good to hear his voice....... I'm not meaning to be maudlin here or looking for sympathy or anything of the sorts, I just wanted to vent a little and tell you guys, about my friend who is much stronger than me...... oh and he did say with a little humor, that he would 'save a place for me', I thanked him , but said not to hold it too long as I may not be headed in that direction.... he will go north and I'm sure I'm going south......anyway, thanks guys for letting me get this out....I know you have all gone through the same thing, but this is new to me.................my friend Doug is a brave man in my eyes.............................. Thanks you guys.....

    Tony, you NEED to fully document that car.... do you have the window sticker and the broadcast sheet ( GM we call it a build sheet) try and get as much information from Dodge as you can , it will pay huge dividends down the road.... what an interesting story..... so down the road when it is being restored by Mark Worman of Graveyard Carz, he will quote all the RPO numbers and tell that story to the tv audience !

    as much as 'they' want us to quit driving our "gas guzzlers' ( another term I abhor ) I'm thinking it may be a while before it comes to full fruition, and how are they going to convince all the rest of us rednecks to change over..... do I see civil unrest ?? LOL !! I do hear you on possible city driving and yest that cuts down on all the bad stuff we breathe, but not anywhere near practical, (yet) for winter ops in the mountains or semi trailers.................. still though, we ARE on the cusp of amazing technology..... how did we get so smart so fast...... wasn't many years ago we were starting a fire with sticks.....

    AND make them 'pretty'............... all these concept units are BUTT UGLY IMHO...................... I 'may' find them a little easier to take if they made them look cool........ looks like a 4 year old designed them.......

    I hear ya, but where I live , which is some what rural, we don't have a lot of charging stations , and for 'my' personal application for now, they really aren't practical here just yet.............. and when they make them the only thing, ( which I don't think they really will, too much money in the oil industry ) I will be crushed.....and very sad indeed..... BUT they aren't asking me...

    ah.........................................what the Hell took them so long to get a fire truck there??????????? No one had a cell phone I guess.......that was rather painful, and the owner?? was he off with some chick? And , for the life of me I cannot figure out why guys burn VERY expensive tires off their cars just spinning around in circles..... I must be old or something........my idea of burning rubber would be a '69 Mach 1 beside a '70 Chevelle SS 396 at the light when it turns green............... I guess it's just perspective eh? Sad loss, almost looks like a set up..... wonder what the insurance company said.....

    Some of the stuff on the new vehicles today, makes me feel like George Jetson......................just as long as my truck and my Corvette's exhaust doesn't SOUND like George Jetson's space ship...................
