I'd like to think I'm a middle of the road kind of guy, I do like to do both kinds, but am finding lately that as so many of the new birds are rather dull, or have been , and also I have done a lot of cammo ones, I seem to be leaning towards more civilian stuff, mostly due to the options of color choices and the possibility of something a little different on my shelf ( IF I ever get anything finished) as an example , I have the Kitty Hawk UH1D Helicopter on the go..... so instead of making it a Viet Nam machine, I'm trying to convert it to a Bell 205 A1 from Conair Helicopters , as well as , I think I have room for a Chinook as used for forest fire work with Columbia Helicopters..... my OH 13 is going to be an Okanagan Bell 47G ( had decals made for that one) ......... not that I don't like or do them with guns, BUT it gives me an opportunity to go either way the wind blows...... for me it is fun to research and see if a military machine is or has been used in the civilian application, and that is why I come here to get more inspiration and ides................................ and as for tiddly winks.......................... man I haven't played that in 50 years, might have to find a set and take on the Mrs. !! I remember them being lots of fun....

I hear you, Carl, they are calling for 20 cms on a local mountain pass today, and last Wednesday they had 15cms on the Okanagan Connector ( Highway Thru Hell ) Highway 97C and were telling folks not to drive on it as it was treacherous, and had multiple bad crashes.....................hhhhhmmmmmm

No kidding Carl, and it just gets worse and worse, our wonderful Premier just smirks and says not his problem, and if the new guy gets in , in Alberta,next week, it sounds like we are in for a world of hurt, as he is going to shut the taps off, he says, because our guy won't let the pipe be built.......................... hhhmmmm THEY have their petty squabbles and WE pay?...................... is there something fundamentally wrong there, or is it just me? They argue, and I get punished................. some one needs Dr. Phil............................................. not too sure it's me........ and , aren't they supposed to work for me, and not the other way around?? I will get off my soap box now as I don't want to be banned, here, but holy cow, those ridiculously inflated prices sure take the fun out of life, some days................. we are in a bad spot here, as we don't have any other choices locally..... no Costco... and all private stations so we are handcuffed.......

All I know is we are paying too damn much, and no one gives a $hit !!!!

So, on the local news just now, they said the gas price in Vancouver BC has spiked to $1.69 /liter ( about the same as a U.S. quart) to the rough equivalent of $7.60 a gallon........... the 'expert' said because they are changing to the 'more expensive' summer fuel and there are a couple refineries down for 'maintenance', and we seem to be competing with the whole west coast of North America for gas,................. he said it is well expected to go to $2.25/ liter.... OR $10.12 per gallon......................................... HUH................ I am wondering why my consumer products are so expensive..??...... I guess the Corvette will sit this summer......... which will mean LESS $$ for ICBC......... as we here in BC have the highest road tax/ fuel taxes, and the new raised 'Carbon Tax' rate all put up by the Provincial Government.................................... our Premier said, "its' not the Government's fault'............................... huh...... must have been something I said I guess......................................

As an 'expert' on snow ( I pushed it off the roads for 38 years) I sure don't see a 'snow failure' here at all...... looks really good to me...... I really like this...

Funny how a serious tragedy brings us humans down to earth , eh Harv....... seems that all the CRAP we worried about just doesn't matter, and it is people and relationships that count..... Cathy and I were talking about that the other day when we though we were going to lose my mom..... she was a huge worrier, and for what, and right now, NONE of any of it means anything...... I am so glad you got back with your dad, Harv.......that is really great........we humans are a funny lot...... not sure many of the other animal species treat each other like we do....................................

Well, Martin, I'd say from knowing you as I do, you have the honesty, and gentleness well in hand , you have conquered that part quite effectively, and I sure didn't mean to bring anyone down, over this thread, but sometimes it is easier to write it down to friends who understand, than to 'talk' about it to local 'friends' who seem to give the trite answer comments.......also it is good to know that I ( we ) are not the only ones going through some "stuff". Right now Cathy and I are up to our noses in this stuff..... my mom is in the hospital and not doing very well, as I may have mentioned, my dad needs me to go over , make his lunch, then a couple hours later, take him to see mom ( he is 97) then come home and an hour or so later go back to his place and make him dinner, then I do the dishes, I come home, get the dog's dinner and her meds ( she has terminal cancer ) and after that get or help get our dinner...., and in the mean time Cathy's mom took a bad fall ( she is 90 ) and hit her head really bad, and she is in the hospital very dizzy, and can't go back home....... our daughter is trying to move and we are helping with that as well............ I 'm not complaining or looking for sympathy, it's just nice to have a spot to release some of the tension....... so I come here, to catch up on the lighter stuff, and have a coffee, then once that is done, I get on my horse and fulfill my daily routine..... so thanks guys, once again this is a great place to hang out.....

Still, a VERY sweet ride, you and Martin and all the other guys here should find a stable somewhere and have a meet with your cars, BBQ and a few beers and LOTS of B/S, send the girls shopping somewhere, and you guys could have a mini car show....... I'd come and bring my Corvette, BUT I will park on a back street............ deep down , I still have a soft spot for the Mustang, was my favorite ride from the day it came out, and having three of them in the past, I get the love.......

And according the the Beach Boys, the 'Stang was red before they painted it black..................
