  2. Ernie, I'm hunting for the externals, this set up is a couple windows so if you want to do this set up it should be 'easy'...
  3. THIS is a great thread, I am learning so much.. thanks Scott, will that stuff work on a Chevy as well??

Steve, first off your Brisfit is a beauty..... yeah too bad they don't make a Jenny or Canuck..... but as a what if thing, then I'd say the Brisfit for sure, and didn't some guys actually use the SE5A after the war to fool around with a bit? I totally agree it would be a cool subject matter and a really cool display idea...... got for it man....
  7. My Pleasure, Pal, I hope there is some thing of use there for you.... IF Nothing else maybe enough to see what you DON'T want to do...
  8. um.................. you sure? I'm not arguing, I'm just wondering.....
  9. Thanks Ryan, after much deliberation and researching , I think I'm going to go with a real good coat of high end carnauba paste wax, my friend at the detail shop said he would put a real good base coat on and then I know it would be done completely and correctly, and I can take it from there..... thanks for asking the Mrs. I'm still not 100% certain about the ceramic stuff, you can get stuff for $16 bucks right up to $300, and there is nothing out there that says the expensive stuff is any good, and there is SO much contradictory information out there, I think I will pass for now... and it still requires 'maintenance', so does a good quality wax.... so ...... the jusry is still out as they say.... thanks for asking ....
  10. (Library and Archives Canada Photo, MIKAN No. 3584029) Avro Lancaster installation and equipment.
  11. (Library and Archives Canada Photo, MIKAN No. 3584318) Avro Lancaster Shoran equipment.
  12. Same aircraft with the radio altimeter equipment LAC Photo MIKAN No. 3584855 If you look at the top of the pic, it looks like the mid upper turret cover..... doesn't it?
  13. Ok Ern , here is your confirmation on the seat cushion..... this is RCAF Lancaster FM 110 404 sqdn, and I'd say it most definitely has the seat cushion...... LAC Photo.
  14. The seat of VRA..... as it was a rescue bird, I would say the seat cushion would be highly appropriate for any post war Lanc..... as the crews used to use a 'seat pack' during war ops, and not needed for post war rescue stuff, I know I'd sure like a cushion..................... I'd say you're on the right track Ernie...
  15. NICE rides !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! black is so nice, but holy a dog to keep clean, I had a black '86 IROC Camaro, and hand washed and dried, took it for a short spin, hand wash and dried then parked it till next time..... it always looked good, but I spent more time washing it than driving it................black is so sexy though....
  16. WTF ????????????? I thought you were putting wooden wheels back on? I'm crushed now...... seriously, those wheels will look really cool with the black ( blue )oval on them.... Love it Martin....
  17. ssssssoooooooo how did you make out at the 'Boutique', in the 'cosmetic department' ???? You should post it here.... inquiring minds want to know........... or more to the point, "This old fart is nosy".......
  18. ah nope, not there, would have liked to have been, just was there in the '70's, but have been studying this stuff for centuries..... AND am ALWAYS willing to be corrected at anytime, if I have it wrong....
  19. I KNOW most of you guys know this, but for those who don't...................... on the comment section of the 405 Squadron ORB, you will notice there is an entry of "DCO", that translates to " Duty Carried Out" , for those who may wonder what that parlance is.... means the job was completed... of course you guys knew that.................. right?
