  1. And that there is classic! ... "Mate ... can you hand us that 12" AFS?" Rog
  2. Awww crap ... An here's me promising myself not to fantasize ... HGW are already doing an A.20G ... Which means getting one in the Zoukei-Mura treatment is even MORE unlikely than it was previously. Ok ... So ... a Do.17z - BoF or BoB ... OR Vickers Wellington Mk.III ... OR Boulton Paul Defiant. For the BPD ... Zoukei Mura or Tamiya ... if it was going be super detailed and highly accurate. Tamiya hasn't gone bigger than the Mossie .... and TBH I don't think they're inclined to go bigger ... For the Do.17z I'd be ok with Revell doing it IF and ONLY IF the price point was decent ... HKM otherwise ... Dragon (if they could build up the kit as well done as the Bf.110) ... with a 'cheap' HB or Trumpy as a last resort. HKM for the Wellington ... they've done a few of the "Big Boys" now and seem to know what it'll take as well as getting better for every new issue. Rog
  3. ... and a bayonet, Sir! ... With a bit of guts behind it! Rog
  4. ANZACS - A TV miniseries ... but I binge-watch it and treat it like a movie anyway ... Typical Aussie stuff - brilliant!! From the mannerisms, the larrikin behaviour, slang, nicknames etc. Zulu ... From Richard Burtons opening narrative (reading aloud an actual report to the Crown) this was always going to be Epic! Saving Private Ryan ... Until this one, most US made films were all "America! F*** yeah! ... coming again to save the M***er F***ing day, yeah!" ... you could have honestly thought they'd fought and won every single conflict by themselves ... as kids we used to joke about how Wellington nearly lost the Battle of Waterloo until John Wayne showed up with a "We'll take it from here, partner!" ... Fighting sequences were realistically done (as were the vehicles used!!!) ... Epic visual and sound stages put you RIGHT there! Waterloo ... (Speaking of) ... just the cinematography alone gets a vote here ... even a little collaboration from the Soviet Union - the horse riders were mainly Cossacks! ... French marching columns were brilliant. The last one .... I can't pick ... its a toss up between Battle of Britain, Midway (the old one), Black Hawk Down and Kokoda. Rog
  5. LMAO ... Now that IS hilarious I think the shape of the lower left ventricle is off ... and the diameter on the Aorta looks a bit big to my eye ... Surface detail is a bit overdone ... Obviously a Trumpeter 'B' Team effort!! Rog
  6. Glad to hear everything is proceeding according to plan!! Rog
  7. That kit is awesome ... fun to build ... and I dare say - looks more realistic with the restrained detail, built, than the Tamiya kit. Rog
  8. Awesome sauce!! It really is an awkward looking aircraft ... with the chubby (guess-who-spent-the-summer-eating-Macca's??) look and this seemingly tiny cockpit right up the top there, you wonder how that pilot could have the visuals to target anything with confidence. Detail is lovely though. I just lay-by'd the SWS-03 and SWS-12 so I'll have the set soon Rog
  9. Carl haven't forgotten about this ... I was looking at the Ronin decals ... maybe I can get some 1/48 F & G decals to scale up? Rog
  10. Haven't forgotten your request ... Life is busy so no ETA on a WIP ... but I can (and will) open up the Spad and give you a tour ... it will just have to wait until I have a Saturday morning free. I can't attest to accuracy or anything funky like that ... the Skyraider was a relatively unknown machine to me until Trumpeter and ZM started belting them out Do.335 style!! ... Do we have an in box review anywhere around the place? Rog
  11. So sorry to hear bud ... I hope the prognosis moving forward is a little more positive ... Rog
  12. Ok ... so this stuff arrived a couple of weeks ago ... Unfortunately at about the same time ... or maybe a few days earlier ... I had a couple of software updates ... They usually go off without a hitch ... but this time with the Catalina update and the iOS 13 one - something went wrong with photo sync. Good thing about the internet is ... you just type the issue into Google and find out that everyone else has the same problem ... There's still an issue with the new "Music" app ... it switches off the equaliser/pre-amp after every track ... but at least I can download the photos off my phone now! A LARGE box arrived from Frontline with some goodies for RAAF builds: With large kit boxes inside ... An EA.18G ... A couple of F/A.18A's With Australian Markings included ... The pilot is damned Collingwood supporter!!! And an F.35 model ... of which we're getting the real deal here someday. And meanwhile this came from Metro's ... cleverly disguised with the wrong box art for the ad ... That makes Just 2 SWS kits short of the entire 1/32 collection now ... The Navy Spad ... and the Do.335A-12 Rog
  13. The E ... The epitome of Teutonic efficiency thinking ... "This it what it must be able to do ... Who cares what it looks like as long as it does the job!" Rog
  14. ... Might be especially "to die for" if you're flying either of those ... Rog
  15. I assume you're referring to the Mk. of Spitfire and not the Lager commonly referred to as "Green Death" Rog
  16. Mk.Ia ... Closely Followed by the Mk.Vb ... Was annoyed that Tamiya didn't cover these in 1/32 ... and that Revell chose to make a mess of their effort. Rog
  17. THAT sounds interesting Carl ... How much would that cost do you think? Do you think something similar could be done with the F and G to get RAAF markings there?? Also ... it's been suggested that maybe Academy might be able to issue a B canopy set ... what's your thoughts on this? Rog
  18. Carl ... I actually emailed them about their B, F and G stuff ... and got a fairly long email back just a few days ago about how their 1/32 stuff didn't sell that well and if interest didn't pick up in their Tiger stuff, that wouldn't come to pass either ... so it looks like I'm stuffed on F & G's decals - unless someone knows where I can get some. There's a few for a B around on eBay ... but unless I can find a canopy - I'm stuffed there as well. Rog
  19. ... any word on that "Mind Blown" emoji yet?? Rog
  20. I remember seeing "Han shot first!" t-shirts for sale at the last convention we had in Perth ... you can't fool the nerd population!! ... but seriously - how could Greedo miss from there??? A lot of people forget that Japan had a much greater sci-fi production and selection than the rest of the western world for decades before Star Trek and Star Wars - Even if it was mostly Animated. In fact ... US networks went scrambling for licensing rights to a fair amount of Japanese stuff to fill the demand, once Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica became hits. Rog
  21. ... and more Macross!! Rog
  22. MACROSS!!! ... Awesome sauce Rog
  23. I'd like to see one of these ... with a few Fallschirmjager in action mode at the battle for Willems bridge - Holland 1940 Rog
  24. Carl ... So ... it looks like option 2 ... find someone who got the kit with the lot - but built the single seater (or at least not the B)! Any help with locating this victim volunteer ... or any of the other items listed above would be great ... Rog
