  1. Carl ... I cannot find any decals (RAAF) for the F or G Super Hornets ... Ronin used to make some but ceased because they weren't getting enough sales ... I can probably get 1/48 if you can do the upscaling thing ... I would need a set for the F and the G ... How would you like to proceed? I can get some A-4 RAN decals easy enough and some for a F/A-18.B - I shouldn't have balked on buying that B kit from you!! ... If I can get a D kit and the B resin cockpit - I can steal the D canopy throw in my A ... and maybe flog it off as a buildable C (san's decals) ... Rog
  2. Put the rest aside ... Get the Dragon ... er Revell kit and Johns (AIMS) G-4 conversion ... time for some night action!! Rog
  3. Meanest??? ... so many tanks ... so little time ... I'd go with original Tiger - scared the pants of more than a few. My all time FAVOURITE would have to be the Panzer.III with a 50mm L.60 (Ausf.J-M) ... great little all rounder!! Rog
  4. Mmmmm ... never heard of AML, Carl ... got a linky? ... the Revell Mk.II - apart from its clunky appearance - is already half a Mk.V anyway ... In fact you actually need a Barracuda correction set to build the Mk.II Rog
  5. Hey Hang-about!! ... Not necessarily so!!! Revell originally made a DOG of a Bf.110 C-4 kit ... I know ... because I tried (and utterly failed) to make that son of a &^%$# fit ... Please DO be careful before purchasing ... make sure its the new release C-2/C-7 kit ... THAT one shall the Dragon rebox be!! Rog
  6. Now that's an entire stash in one hit!! Rog
  7. As above there is only 1 P.47 Razorback available ... thats the Trumpy one ... I ALWAYS go for brass barrels for anything exposed and there are 8 lovely .50cal blast tubes on this puppy ... (Just an aside here ... I think this A/C is Totally underrated. I must admit to being a Typhoon fan with the 20mm's, rockets and all but the P.47 was a flying tank!) ... After reading the mixed reviews on each P.47 kit - I actually preferred the Trumpeter kit to the Hasegawa and have a bubble top D as a result ... but thats a personal thing ... and from all accounts the Hasegawa builds nice. Rog
  8. Thats from Malvern Star's brief attempt to break back into the top end market ... Carbon frame, Mavic Cosmic Carbone 50 aero clinchers (about $2-2.5K worth at the time) and a full Dura-Ace groupset. Priced back in 2011 at $5500 AUD ... I picked it up brand new a couple of years later at $2900 ... annnnnnd it's been riden once!! ... the whole set up is way to aggressive for me to feel comfortable on the bike ... I ride my other two ... a Specialised Roll Sport with upgraded hydraulic disk brakes and a Specialised Diverge Comp (underneath the Malvern Star Oppy C7) ... with an upgraded crank to match the rest of the 105 groupset (I find the gravel set up and geometry to be much more suited to Australian conditions and my riding position ... I'm putting the Dura Ace bike Up for sale shortly. Now I just have to organise the cargo area for secure transport Rog
  9. Thanks Jeff ... it does look a lot more "exec'" now ... The colour (though supposed to be "colour matched" via the VIN number) may actually be a little off ... at least it looks that way under certain light conditions ... Not enough for me to be having rivet counter seizures though!! ... and it may just be the light position anyway?!? Rog
  10. Big, big thank you from here too!! Rog
  11. Pffft! ... Dale ... 35 isn't REALLY hot ... how about a week full of 38-43 ... in NOVEMBER ffs!! ... (insert melting emoji here!) Happy New Year Rog
  12. So ... ever since I got my Ute ... I've been planning to get a hard lid (or hard tonneau cover) ... and yesterday the mission was completed : A quick drive south to the Erksine / Falcon region ... and 3 hours later ... And back home ... Rog
  13. SORRY FOLKS!!! ... original links were deleted and re-uploaded .... and I forgot to repost!! The Pz.Kfpw.III Chassis is by far my most favourite armour ... ... I always said if they released one in a BIG scale I was all in!! Rog
  14. Nice one guys ... Seasons Greetings!! ... I hope everyone had fun and remembered to thank contributors and organisers alike!!! Rog
  15. I'm afraid that the Fly kit is your only option Johno - unless Tamiya want to spread their Merlin goodness a little further in coming years ... and sadly I think the D kit is the only one with underwing hard points. My guess is someone like MDC or Greymatter might make something AM? Rog
  16. Beat me to it!! Guys ... All my big cats are Dragon ... some with Magic Track ... some with that silly DS (not so crap) crap they stuffed around with later. JUST as I was getting my Magic Track equiped stash up to speed ... a whole bunch of new stuff started to roll out ... So ... how does Dragon compare with RFM, Meng, Takom etc?? .. and now we have Border also! Rog
  17. Ooooo ... is this so you can imitate Darth Vader while you build? Rog
  18. You, Sir ... are a masochist Rog
  19. So apparently ... HpH are moving into the plastic arena (Infinity Models) ... and Heinz (the bearer of HpH news) has provided a list of subjects to be kitted ... https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235064691-infinity-models/ I like the idea of the Val ... but wish they'd get onto a Kate also (unless they have wind that someone ELSE is already onto that one??? ... There's a Beaufighter Mk.X in there too ... ... as well as as an A-20 Havoc ... Does this mean HGW is reverting back to HpH with the G casting?? - theres been no news for some time ... or are we getting HpH making the earlier variants?? Rog
  20. Lee Iacocca passed in July this year ... It didn't take the "Woke" crowd long to screw up his legacy ... A Mustang is a fastback sports coupe ... not ... whatever THAT thing is!! ... If Ford start putting out that kind of trash ... it won't take long for them to slide out the way of the Dodo. "Get Woke ... Go Broke!" Rog
  21. ... as can be noted in my evil laugh ... My personal preference is for the ZM Mk.IV - and sadly this is not my subject matter ... But nice of Tamiya to give John more ammo!! Rog
  22. Wonder if they've fixed the panel lines? ... Mwahahahahaha Rog
  23. If I knew how to make one I'd do it ... "Hitler Rants about LSP" ... Insert all of Steves comments Rog
  24. Talk about thread drift!!! ... started New York to LA ... ended in Cape Town!! Steve - those posts would make EPIC work on a Hitler Rant meme Rog
  25. I agree with the notion ... and it falls in line with the "favouritism" comment I made earlier ... However, while I'm the first person who would suggest that 'J' can be more than a little obnoxious with his commentary ... This case doesn't appear to be all that "clear cut" ... Please note that I have no dog in that fight - nor do I know ALL of the facts. Iain, on the balance, tends to be a fairly reasonable sort ... J didn't mention any names - so I'm leery of jumping to conclusions ... my only questions would be ... Did the particular person PROMISE to complete something for someone, without stating any conditions prior to? Did they, indeed 'go dark'? Was the promised work not completed (irrespective of the reasons)? ... If so ... and other people were contributing/waiting on the said person to fulfil their promise ... I'd suggest that J (and Iain) may have a point ... Maybe not so eloquently put - but a point nonetheless. ---------------- Maybe it's just the way in which I was raised? - I never promise to do something unless I'm sure I can do it - VERY cagey about agreeing to anything actually ... I ALWAYS overestimate the time required to do the task, so there's a better than even chance I can deliver on my promise early (I actually learned that one in customer service management roles) ... If - for some mitigating circumstance, I cannot complete what I said I would do - I advise the involved parties ASAP (i.e. as soon as I'm aware) and ASK for either 1/ a deferral ... or 2/ removal from the task altogether if the delay will be outside of any reasonable guideline ... the mitigating circumstance matters not ... I was raised that my "word is my bond and therefore the measure of my character" ... Quite often, when I was younger (and much to my chagrin and embarrassment, I will add), I was forced (by my father) to complete tasks that I had frivolously promised to complete - In situations that were no longer convenient for me ... be it that I wanted to go to the movies with my friends ... or that I just wasn't feeling all that well. My father always drilled into me that a "man who doesn't keep his word cannot be trusted" ... Like I said ... Maybe just the way in which I was raised ... but it's always made me the most trusted confidant by friends and one of the most trusted staff members by employers. Rog
