  1. I had a dreadful time with mine.....yours look good!
  2. It does look good...I'll have a look at that video!
  3. Still some room in my stash, but it's pretty full I'll get to some builds when I finish current project! It'll probably be a 1/16 build of something.
  4. Got this today....Not a big 1/16 scale behemoth kit, it's 1/35. From Tamiya, it's their Russian Heavy Tank JS-2 Model 1944 ChKZ (35289). Nice kit: link & length or "rubber" option for tracks, 2 figures, photo-etch, and four marking options. Coming to the end of my bucket list as far as purchases goes for now. One in the post, another I may buy in a couple weeks.
  5. I have many Iwata airbrushes.... Some over 20 years old. My most recent Iwatas are a Hi-Line HP-BH.....great for fine lines and a HP-C plus. Both are smooth and reliable. I have 4 Ecipses ...two are HP-CS the others are HP-BCS. The two HP-CS and one HP-BCS are 20+ years old, but when I returned to modeling, I refurbished them using new parts (needles, nozzle, packings,o-rings and the like.). They're like new now. The remaining HP-BCS I purchased because I couldn't find my other one at first....I've not used it yet. Yes, I like Iwata!
  6. Glad to hear you're feeling better Peter.
  7. And, she plays the Accordion!
  8. Outstanding NMF , Rob!
  9. Thanks. Yes, I watched the video last night....then looked up a lot of engine pics for this vehicle. The engines looked like they were dark grey in the pics. It seems like a lot of detail will be covered up when Finished however. Please note: Andy has re-released his video.... it's been revised. A part 2_of this video is forthcoming.
  10. Agreed ....the mausers bothered me at first, but You know, after looking at some mauser pictures....they Really don't look too bad!
  11. Well, my Das Werk Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.D (DW 16005) in 1/16 came today. I wanted to get this thing since I first saw Andy's video featuring this kit. The kit does look pretty good with the exception of The Mauser Kar 98 rifles supplied..... they look a little funky...the grip area of the buttstock is off. It looks odd. Minor complaint but.....
  12. Well done on the f14 ....looks like a very nice build able kit....I've got some " loyalty rewards" points left-over at Tower Hobbies.I might get one. I remember building theTamiya 1/32 kit back in 1983....went off to College.... After my first semester my family Got rid of all my kits...threw them out ...WTF! Had to start again in '84 while Recovering from surgery!
  13. I really like the looks of the Walrus....you've done a great job! Your catapult ....Well, very impressive!
  14. Harv, Glad to hear your on the mend. Get well soon!
  15. Wow! I can't imagine a 1/35 kit with that many parts-----must be small, tiny, easily lost parts....I have a couple of Miniart kits... So I can believe it! Please, when the time comes ,WIP!
  16. Any more news on Harvey?...... hoping he's doing well.
  17. Nice build Rob! I remember when that kit came out....I wanted to build It, but the paint scheme scared me off.
  18. Another 1/16 kit arrived moments ago! From Trumpeter, It's their T-34/85 Model 1944 Facory No. 183 (00902). These are big kits....around 800 or so parts! I've got to build one of these. I now have four of these kits...plus their Su-100. I plan to build the Su-100 First. I think the Big SU has something like 1100 parts! Anyway, I have to start building something as I have had a kit sitting for a few weeks needing to be finished!......I'll finish that, then I'll find something big to build.
  19. The Big Sea Fury ? Well, it's got to be the one of the best piston engine- all-time cool aircraft out there....Like the Grumman Bearcat...cool-as-hell! Great work...I'll be watching! Regards; Paul
  20. Ha! You beat me to it! I just ordered mine this morning from Andy's.
  21. Interesting subject...the elliptical wing reminds me of a Spitfire.
  22. Thanks for the pics! Gotta love the little Hetzer suprised to see the T-26 in German Markings.....Both would make great subjects for a Takom big-scale small tank! I see Takom has a host of Hetzers in 1/35.....with interiors no less, including a soon to be released Swiss G-13 version.
  23. Looking great Pete!
  24. Sorry to hear of this. Bad news.....Hope all goes well for him..both the surgery and recovery.
  25. I have to agree about the Takom ( including Andy's). The Trumpeter T72 tracks were a nightmare... Involving filing and sanding to get each link to fit. Mine, currently is on hold...just gave up, but I will eventually finish it as there Isn't much left to do.....There isn't much detail to that kit...no interior and missing details ....headlights an example. Your money, is better spent on the Takom big scale kits....or on Trumpeter's T34s. Their SU 100 is excellent. Will be building that one soon.
