  1. Looks like a great kit!. Thanks for the link..interesting products. I'm looking forward to your build. I'm still considering their 1/12 Fiat..I see that Italeri is offering an updated version of that kit along with an update on their Bugatti.
  2. Me too....MEH! How about something different for a change ....A brewster Buffalo!!!! A Lockheed Vega, a Seversky P-35, or a Boeing P-26. Anything that isn't A Tiger tank, a Spitfire, or a Mustang! For a change....just saying, my own very humble opinion.
  3. Thanks for the tip. Yes, I remember Protar now, ..that was a long while back. I'll stick with the newer releases.
  4. I also am tempted by the 1/12 Italeri kits; the big Mefistofele, the Alfas, and also their 1/12 Fiat 500. I think the Fiat might be a fun project... It seems to be a nice kit with good detail. We'll see, maybe.
  5. Very kind of Martin! Those resin burner cans look amazing!
  6. Looking great, Oliver! The weathering and detail are top-notch!
  7. Yikes!
  8. Cool!....although a bit pricy!
  9. Thanks....checked the Plastruct bottle it says it will work on abs. ' haven't seen the Tamiya stuff...I'll check it out.
  10. Good to know! Thanks. I have some Plastruct cement...I think that works on ABS.....?
  11. Got this today....an ETSY purchase arriving in just a couple of days from El Paso Texas; Another '53 War of the Worlds movie themed purchase. From Pegasus Hobbies, their Martian War Machine (No. 9001) said to be in 1/48 scale. First impressions? Well, I must say I'm pleased. The kit is larger than expected, the parts are very well-molded; the surfaces being blemish- free and having a shiny surface finish. I see no flash, and a trial fit shows that the fit is excellent. The upper and lower halves of the fuselage or body of this thing were packaged dry-fitted together and again, the fit is perfect. The kit includes transparent parts; tinted in red, green and clear. Should be a fun, trouble free, and nostalgic build as this was one of my "must watch" movies as a kid. A lot of builders online add lighting effects to this kit....might do that.
  12. Probably Andy's 1/16 M8 Greyhound and the 1/16 Das Werk Puma whenever those kits come out, otherwise I probably won't buy much.
  13. I noticed on Amazon how vendors raise prices on scarce items. There's a couple of items that are selling at almost twice what they originally sold for! One, is a hard to find kit from Pegasus Hobbies. Luckily, I found it on ETSY for a reasonable price. I remember when it was hard to find Tamiya Olive drab anywhere....
  14. I've also ordered from them too!
  15. I ordered two bottles from them earlier today...then I saw your post. It's the same story for most Takom kits...I'm debating wether to order one from Hong Kong!
  16. Leveling thinner here: https://www.usagundamstore.com/products/mr-hobby-color-leveling-thinner-400ml-t108-gunze-gsi-creos-airbrush-paint-supply
  17. Would like to see one done-up in Cuban markings!....Er, not that I like Castro....just saying, my Dad was raised in pre- Fidel Cuba. Carl, you certainly are an impressively prolific builder...Jeez! I'm impressed by your productivity... One project to the next! I've been stuck on this Andy's Sherman project..mostly..avoiding building.. due to current issues. I admire your drive and impressive skill! Thanks for posting your many ongoing projects!
  18. Rachel!.... Blade runner! Yes, P. K. Dicks dystopian future! I always think of her , asking Deckard..about the owl...good stuff! Not a robot.. a "replicant".. but, non-the-less, the actress...Sean Young, was Lovely. What happened to her?
  19. I guess my kit stays in its box.
  20. Thanks. I'm looking for their 1/48 '53 movie war machine, but they seem to be out of stock most places. I saw one on Amazon at an inflated price however. Some of their other War of the World kits based on the 2005 movie look amazing!
  21. I don't trust Kitlinx at all....based on some miserable experiences I had with them. The SB membership fee just seems too steep for me!
  22. Yes! I knew I could find a use for him.........Er, ...it! Seriously, I bought this thing after seeing Carl's T Rex, and I had ten dollars worth of rewards points off at Megahobby. Being a fan of the 1953 movie, I thought it might be a fun diversion.
