  1. All done with this one. FineMolds belts are the only after market items. Otherwise OOB. Painted with Testors, Tamiya, and Compucolor. Markings are mostly kit decals and some from my decal stash. These Hasegawa P-40's are enjoyable builds and build up to be nice models. I hope you like it. 🙂
  2. I look forward to seeing your P-40 build. I have no doubt it will be a beaut! 🙂
  3. Yes indeed Martin, thanks. I'll spray some clear gloss today and start decaling. Just might have it finished some time tomorrow. 🙂
  4. Good progress. Next I'll paint the undersides.
  5. Thank you Hubert! I'm glad you like it. 🙂
  6. Making some progress.
  7. That would be good. How did you come by that info?
  8. Thanks Martin. I wish Hasegawa would re-release their "M", "K", and "N" kits. Those are getting harder to find and when you do find one it's not cheap unfortunately. I have their "N" 15,000 anniversary kit which I have up for sale. I'll either sell it or build it. 🙂
  9. If my memory serves me right then, yes, that's Taylor's bird.
  10. Thank you Chris. OOB except for the FineMolds belts. Whenever you try one you'll like it. Great details and fit. Easy build also. 🙂
  11. Yes, I built their P-40B a while back. Not a bad kit. I did it as Taylor's a/c he flew at Pearl Harbor, a/c #155.
  12. Thanks! I'm happy you like them.
  13. Yes sports fans and athletic supporters. Another Hasegawa P-40 build is under way. The Hasegawa kits are nicely detailed and enjoyable to build. I just wish they would reissue the "K", "M", and "N" as those are hard to find and when you do find any the prices are pretty high. (Yes, I know, I have a "N" up for sale here but at least I'm not asking a arm and a leg for it. Just a arm maybe! LOL) At any rate, I intend for this build to be Robert L. Scott's "E". Not all that colorful but that's okay. It should make a good looking OOB model. Stay tuned.......
  14. Thank you Kevin. I decided it had set on my "to be completed" shelf long enough. 🙂
  15. This one has been sitting 3/4 done for several months. I finally decided to finish it over the holiday since it was so far along. I had planned to use black and white checkerboard markings but wasn't able to come up with the needed decals. So I changed the markings.
  16. Thanks Paul. I'm glad you like it. 🙂
  17. Agreed! Thank you. 🙂
  18. Thank you Kevin. It's nice to get a compliment! Thanks again. 🙂
  19. Finished. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20508-tamiya-p-51b-completed/
  20. All done with this one. Painted with Alclad Duraluminum, Tamiya yellow and red, and my own mix for interior green. Decals are from the Kagero Fighters Over Italy book. The black pinstriping is Microscale. It's a nice kit and easy to build. No after market parts were used. I hope you like it! 🙂
  21. Black stripes now in place. Still a lot too do. Looks a bit strange without them on the inboards.
  22. Coming right along. 🙂 Black outline stripes on the yellow stripes is next.
  23. I guess there was a different Hazel as this is a 52nd FG a/c and not a recce a/c. 🙂
