Another Corsair in the books. Those Tamiya kits are enjoyable builds. Great subjects, great fit and nicely detailed. I wish they'd add to their 1/32 line. Painted with Model Master Dark Sea Blue. Decals, except for the national insignias, are from my decal stash. This a/c was from VMF-323 on Okinawa. I hope you like the results of my efforts. 🙂

It's looking like those checkerboard decals are "somewhere in the USPO maze" and won't show up any time soon. I'll give it another day or two and if they don't show up I'll do this Corsair instead. Okinawa 1945.

National insignia decals applied. I hope to do #530 from VMF-312 on Okinawa. I have some checker board decals coming but won't know if they will work until they show up in a day or two. I may have to adjust them and print out corrected ones but we will see. Fingers crossed! 🙄

I just recently got this kit from Martin so, instead of letting it sit on the shelf, I decided to go on and build it. Undecided right now on markings but, needless to say, it will be overall GSB. (To be more accurate GDSB 🙂)

I used the Revell 1/32 kit for this build which represents the FIRST of Chuck Lyford's P-51 racers in 1966. Thereafter it was named "Bardahl Special" through the following racing years. Now I have done all versions, which were all the same a/c.
