  1. Thanks Kevin. Those FineMolds belts work well for me.
  2. I just happen to have a set of these Scott. I'd be happy to send them to you if you want them. John
  3. Thank you Kevin. I appreciate the comment. 🙂
  4. I wonder why this build hasn't gotten any comments? Uninteresting subject? 🙄
  5. Thanks Martin. The Hasegawa P-40 kits are all good kits and enjoyable builds and I know you will like building the model. 🙂
  6. Innards about done. I used the kit decals for the IP.
  7. Count me in for a couple of N tails Tim. 🙂
  8. Yep, I'm hopeful it will go well. 🙂
  9. I just received this very nice resin P-40K tail from Tim Biggers so now I'll be converting a Hasegawa P-40E to a K.
  10. Done and RFI. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20558-planet-models-flapjack-rfi/
  11. I'm calling this one DONE! When I was getting ready to start this build I figured it would be fairly easy but NOT SO! Actually it became a large PITA towards the end, especially the vacform clear parts. I Painted the exterior with Colourcoats GSB and the innards with Testors Interior Green I mixed up using their Yellow Zinc Chromate, Beret Green and Flat Black. Decals are from the kit but the national insignia is from Aeromaster. I looked at quite a few photos of the real thing and also some builtups and found there were several variations in the markings and the airframe. I just picked the one I liked best and went from there. I hope you like it. 🙂
  12. Nearly ready for decals.

I've been lucky so far! I hope you get better soon Tony. 🫤
  14. A couple of little additions from sheet plastic.
  15. Painting well under way.
  16. Hard to say Carl. This one has quite a few fit problems which have given me fits. Not a shake and bake for sure. 🙄
  17. Turned out really nice Scott! Very nice work. 🙂 (Of course I'm partial to P-40's too.)
  18. Upper and lower fuselage halves plus engine nacelles now in place. Thank goodness for Zap a Gap and Zip Kicker! Still LOTS of puttying and seam filling to do. I'm disappointed in the fit as it appeared when test fitting things would fit better. Oh well, out with the putty and sanding sticks. 🙄
  19. Thanks Scott! I'm pleased that you like it. 🙂 I was careful not to overdo the weathering which is something seen sometimes on peoples builds. Makes me cringe! LOL 😀
  20. Thanks Kevin. So far so good! 🙂
  21. Lots of work to get that done! This kit has pot metal landing gear struts plus the engine fronts fit into the nacelles before attaching the nacelles to the wings. Makes that part easier. 🙂
  22. Got the cockpit done and the engine nacelles cleaned up and put together. I think my next move is to glue the upper and lower fuselage halves together then test fitting should show any spots that need cleaning up.
  23. It's different for sure! I think it will build up to be a neat model. 🙂
  24. I thought so too Martin. 🙂
  25. Yes indeed Dennis. Thank you! 🙂
