  1. It's coming along. I just put the cockpit assembly in and glued the fuselage haves together. Good fit so far.🙂 Which kit are you building?
  2. Next up is a Malta based Mk Vb using the Tamiya 1/48 kit.
  3. Thanks Paul! Very much appreciated. 🙂
  4. Thank you Dennis.🙂
  5. Thanks Martin. Pretty small for sure. I cut some Tamiya masking tape in the shape I wanted. Since the tape is already yellow there was no painting needed. 🙂
  6. Thank you! I'm pleased that you like it. 🙂
  7. Finished. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20661-academy-honey-finished/
  8. All done with this one. Nice kit with good fit. I hope you like it. 🙂
  9. Coming along well although getting the tracks on was a bear. Still have some detailing to do. 🙂
  10. Looks good Kevin! Nice work! 🙂
  11. It's coming along well Carl. Thanks. 🙂
  12. Thanks Dennis. It's a nice kit with good fit (so far). 🙂
  13. I built this dio a good while back when I was a member of "that other site". Something like 10 years or so ago I guess. I had a email from a fella who remembered seeing it. One of his relatives flew that a/c and he wanted to see if I still had the photos but they had gotten lost in the shuffle over the years. I pulled the model out of my display case and took these photos and sent them to him. I thought, since I had the model out and shot some new photos, I'd post 'em here as I figure a lot of you guys hadn't seen the original photos. It's a Tamiya kit with a resin PSP base. I had scratch built the A-frame (which needed a couple of repairs) and work stand. I hope you like it! 🙂
  14. More progress but still a long way to go. The turret and hull are just set in place for the photos.
  15. Agreed Martin. You'd think someone would want them!
  16. Desert sand, slate and OD camo started. The turret is just sitting there for the moment. 🙂
  17. Wash added to lower areas.
  18. Nearly a "shake and bake"! Going together very well with no problems. Easy peasy. Painting will be the thing that makes or breaks this one. 🙂
  19. Something a bit different for a "change". 🙂
  20. That's the set I used. I got some replacement numbers for the 400 from my decal stash. I have no idea why they are backward on the decal sheet.
  21. I've had this Academy kit for quite a while and now it's time to go on and build it since it's one of my favorite armor subjects. Western Desert scheme, Sidi Rezeg battles.
  22. Decaled and oversprayed with semi-gloss Alclad. Next I'll tackle some weathering.
  23. Thanks! They are great kits and a joy to build. 🙂
  24. I'm glad you like it Scott, thanks. That circular antenna was a radio direction finder and was "trained" around by the pilot. It didn't spin. 🙂 I'm looking forward to seeing your "K" when it's done! 🙂
  25. Looks like it was "rode hard and put up wet"! LOL
