  1. No, it's White Ensign IJN Nakajima Grey. Slow drying. Still a little tacky from yesterday.
  2. Painting, except for touchups, done. 🙂
  3. Thanks Dennis. 🙂
  4. Yes for now. Still have the weird gear legs to do. I don't anticipate many problems. 🙂
  5. Got the cowling/engine, etc attached. There were some fit problems that took some "persuading" but it's on there now. 🙂
  6. Thank you. Yes on the Eagle decals. 🙂
  7. I have a bad feeling about that engine/cowling fit. I hope I'm wrong but I have the feeling it "ain't gonna fit right". We will soon see.
  8. I decided to go on and sort this one out. I used my trusty Dremel to "persuade" it to fit and then slapped on some CA to be sure it stays that way. I hope there won't be any more problems.
  9. I agree Carl. Those fiddly toy like features are a real PITA and I too am glad they quit adding them.
  10. Agreed Dennis. I'll get back to it at some point.
  11. Good luck!
  12. Everything was going fine until it got to the VERY fiddly "workable" landing gear and wells. WAY too many little fiddly springs, etc. I finally got the wheel wells together and attached to the lower wing. The gear doors have some "workable" little steel hinges so you can have the gear retracted or down. These have a high cuss factor to attach. I decided to do away with those since the gear was going to be fixed down anyway. I got the left wing joined onto the bottom piece but the right wing just will not attach properly. I tried to get that sorted out but finally got so "frustrated" I decided to put this SOB on the SOD and work on something else for a while. I'll get back to it at some point but not for a little while.
  13. If I were to sell it I'd want at least $3,000.00 for it including the crate. I'm not sure what it's worth but there are several web sites that can be checked to try to get a more accurate value.
  14. It's 8mm. What's the problem with your "buddy"?
  15. Great fit. 🙂
  16. Thank you Carl. Lots of fiddly bits!
  17. Thanks Dennis. It sure was a cluttered cockpit on those Zekes.
  18. Cockpit well along.
  19. For a while I was into collecting German guns. Got too costly so gave it up. Here's one of my original Mausers in a not original crate. I'd like to sell it if anyone is interested. 🙂
  20. Yes it did Dennis. Depending on whether it was from Mitsubishi, Nakajima etc.
  21. Thanks Carl. I used Mr. Paint (MRP) Aotake Green Primer MRP-409. I don't know why it's called green as it sure isn't. 🙂
  22. In keeping with my usual procedure I've pre-painted some of the parts before beginning assembly.
  23. I figure Tamiya's is about the best. 🙂
  24. 😄
  25. LOL Paul. I'll try to do it justice. Looks to be a very nice kit and knowing Tamiya I figure it'll build up nicely. 🙂
