  1. I built that Revell 1/32 kit many years ago. If I remember correctly it was a pretty good kit. 🙂
  2. Thank you Paul. I appreciate the nice comments. I see you are a new member so WELCOME! 🙂 We have a great bunch of guys here.
  3. I have one of the Hasegawa 15'000th "N" kits that I've been tempted to build lately but I hate to do it since any of the "N" issues are hard to find and, when you do find one, the seller wants a arm and a leg for it. So for the time being it'll stay in my stash unbuilt. I wonder how the "E" kits are still available since it's one of the group of their 1/32 P-40 kits. If the "E" is still out there then why not the "N", "K", and "M"??????? If a manufacturer issued a series of new 1/32 P-40's (except Trumpeter which really dropped the ball on their P-40's. I got one of their "F" kits and was very disappointed in it), I think they would sell well. I know I'd buy some!
  4. After looking over the available color schemes for this kit I think I'll change my mind from the one I had originally planned to do to this one. CHANGE OF PLAN.....I did some test fitting on the extremely delicate antennas and, after MUCH fiddling and cussing, I broke some of the little aerial ends off while trying to get them straight.🙃 I had my doubts about those aerials in the first place. Now it's back to the original plan for the one marked C9 * IK.
  5. I just received this Profipack kit and was surprised its different from the one I just finished. A different kit number from the other. 8206 on the first kit and 8208 on this one. It also has different decals and radar aerials plus parts for another 110 a/c. I didn't notice the different kit number when I ordered it from Scale Hobbyist but I'm pleased with the kit and am ready to get with the program! 🙂
  6. That's good news Carl! Enamels have always been my "preferred" paint.🙂
  7. I've decided to start another '110 NF model from Eduard. A little bit different from the 1st one but still quite similar.
  8. Thank you Peter. I'm pleased that you like the results of my efforts! It needed "saving" from gathering more dust and now it will go in one of my cases.
  9. All done. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20291-f2g-corsair-re-paint-etc-all-done/
  10. I brought this one off my old dusty shelf and wanted to re-do it. I cleaned it up, re-painted with White Ensign GSB and added decals from my stash. I think the new look looks great! I hope y'all like it too. 🙂
  11. Nearly finished. Just have to re-attach the gear doors, flaps, radio mast and prop. All painting and decaling done (and in a little different scheme). 🙂
  12. I don't throw stuff away. 🙂
  13. Thanks Kevin. I'm glad you like it. I'm at a loss as to what became of that part. I looked all over my work area, etc but had no luck. Curiouser and curiouser!
  14. Those are some good looking schemes Chris, I think I like the #7 best though. A scheme you don't see every day! 🙂
  15. LOL Peter. I still have my IPMS name tag.
  16. I have a Hasegawa Bf-109F-4 standing by for the sandbox thread. 🙂
  17. I was in IPMS for many years but haven't been active for quite a while. Do you remember your member number? Mine's 4992.
  18. I suppose so Peter. When I built this we had no internet or any kind of handy research materials other than a few books like the Squadron books. I think it was in the late 60's or early 70's. Mail ordering was the only way to go for stuff.
  19. Thank you Peter. I too like the way it turned out and I intend to do another before too long. 🙂
  20. Never was in one of my cases. When I started getting cases a few years ago this model had already been on a shelf gathering dust. 🙃
  21. This is a Otaki 1/48 Corsair that I modified as a F2G Corsair many years ago. As you can see it's in need of some fixing up! My plan is to remove the decals, canopy, etc, clean everything up with some warm water, and re-paint and re-decal the model. I hope it will look like new! 🙂
  22. All done with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20286-eduard-148-bf-110g-4-rfi/
  23. I'm calling this one done guys. I think it turned out pretty well although the canopy part is still MIA. I hope it will turn up at some point. Attaching the nose antennas was a very tedious process. Hard to get each one straight and when I tried to readjust them I usually broke another one off so I finally decided to leave 'em be. I painted the model with Xtracolor, White Ensign and Testor's MM. Decals are Aeromaster. I plan to build another one with a little different camo scheme. I hope y'all like the model! 🙂
