  1. Thanks Phil. Yep, another one done. Time to start another.
  2. Thanks Jerry! I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I plan to do a "C" next in red/white.
  3. Thanks Gaz! I'm pleased you like the results of my efforts.
  4. Completed. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/15864-kitty-hawk-t-28b-completed/
  5. All done with this one. I used a Aires cockpit set to replace the marginal kit pieces but it entailed a lot of cutting and re-fitting to get it to set in place. Painted with Testor's Gloss Yellow tinted with a bit of red to get the right yellow-orange. Stripes are Colourcoats Willow Green. The markings are mostly from my decal stash plus some, such as the code CD, I printed with my laser printer to get the correct size. That trainer yellow orange makes for a attractive finish in my opinion. Notice I took some shots before and after adding exhaust stains. 6. Agreed Peter. Pactra had some good paints (I still have a couple). Just plain Testor's "yellow" for this a/c is too light so a little drop or two of red mixed in works well.
  7. Thanks! Gonna be a colorful bird!
  8. Thanks Carl. Yes, I did the T-33 a while back. Lots of headaches there also. 🤪
  9. I'm glad you like the results of my efforts. Thank you for the nice comments. They can build up to be a nice model but they certainly do have their share of headaches. Thanks again for the nice comments.
  10. Thank you Martin. Yes, they both had high cuss factors but I'm pleased at the way they turned out.
  11. Thanks Peter. I had to do a mix to get the right shade of orange yellow. Testor's Yellow right out of the bottle is too light so I added a bit of red to get the shade I wanted. Looks about right to me.
  12. Got all the masking in place so now I'll re-spray flat white base over the black and green overspray areas in preparation for the 1st coat of gloss yellow.
  13. Thanks Phil. I think I'll leave it at two at least for the foreseeable future. 😄
  14. I'm glad you are liking it Kevin. I'm sure it had to be a lot of fun to watch 'em come and go. (When I'm done with this "B" I intend to do a red/white "C".)
  15. Thank you Peter. Since I posted that photo I've added the Willow Green wing and fuselage stripes, the anti glare panel on the nose, and the black exhaust areas on the sides of the fuselage. I think I'll let it sit over night to be sure all that is dry, etc and then start masking off those areas in readiness for the overall yellow.
  16. Looks to be coming along really well. Nice work so far! (Stay safe!)
