  1. Yes Ernie, OOB except for the seat. I'm sure your build will be just as nice, if not better, than mine. Especially since you are using the "extras" that will dress it up nicely. I look forward to following your build.
  2. Thanks Gaz! I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel!
  3. I gave that some consideration but it seems the models I want to build are mostly 1/32. I just ordered another KH T-28C from Hannant's earlier today and think that will be next up (maybe). I don't expect to build any more 1/32 twins etc.
  4. LOL Peter. Fitting the tail guns now.
  5. Thanks Kevin. I admit, I'm really out of room for more built models. 🤪 I've put some in boxes with peanuts and other packing material just to make a little room. 😄
  6. Thanks Hubert! That thought came to me a little earlier. It certainly qualified as a sow's ear! LOL
  7. Got the GSB on and the landing gear attached. I'll attach the gear doors later as I'd probably knock 'em off moving the model around.
  8. Thanks Dennis! Still got a fair amount of work to accomplish.
  9. They do look good Andy. Wish I'd had them before I assembled the kit items but the kit ones will do.
  10. It's Testor's Ernie. I keep several bottles on hand! The plastic flaps have a fair amount of relief and detail but drilling out all those little holes is a chore I'll take a pass on! Since I already have the PE set I'll think about working on them later on and, if they work out okay, I'll remove the plastic ones and attach them. However, I don't have much "want to" on 'em right now.
  11. LOL Peter. I wouldn't say that, just persistent! Not going to let this beast beat me.
  12. Thanks Kevin. As they say, it's not over til it's over. Still got the gunners station, landing gear attachment and some smaller stuff to take care of. On the home stretch though!!!
  13. May I recommend you read the WIP Ernie? Aires.
  14. Thanks Peter. I'm a big fan of GSB and I'm sure this beast will look good in that color. I'll go re-fill the paint cup in a bit and continue with the painting. I expect to have all the GSB done today. Then I can attach the wheels and embark on the wheel covers which look to have a pretty high cuss-factor since there are no locating pins or attachment points and the instructions are very vague. Typical!!!🤪
  15. Painting is in progress (paint cup ran out while I was painting the right wing). Click on the photo for best resolution.
  16. Yes, you'd think they would have been able to get that little thing right. 🙄
  17. Installed. (The broken glass piece was already broken when I got the kit. I'll do some work on cleaning that up but it won't be too visible when the sliding portion is in place.)
  18. Installing the rear glass and life raft cylinder. I found it to be too long. It needed to be shortened so it wouldn't hit the forward bulkhead and jut out into the gunners compartment. Just another thing to "fix" (at least it's a easy fix).
  19. Thank you Dennis. I got the stubs installed last night with no problems.
  20. Indeed Peter. The issue was in doubt a couple of times though!!! 🤪
  21. LOL That's the plan for now.
  22. Thanks Peter. This one has been a struggle from day one and continues to be so for the most part. Next I will attach the underwing rocket stubs and bomb racks before (can you believe it!!!) PAINTING the GSB. After that I'll attach the landing gear but the gear doors have no locating points as a guide. And of course the instructions are vague and no help at all. 🤪 I plan to use the plastic kit flaps for now and MAY get around to the PE ones later. I'm just not up for that additional hassle right now. 😄
  23. Wings attached and seams filled, etc.
  24. LOL Phil! Making no promises but certainly not as much cussing as this monstrosity. 🤪
