Thank you Andy, I appreciate the kind comment.

Not pretty but at least now it "fits".
-
Thank goodness for CA glue and Zip Kicker. 🤪
-
-
I hope I have it squared away now Gaz. Fingers crossed!
-
Agreed Peter. That frame on top makes it possible to do the surgery. Otherwise I don't know what I'd do to fix the problem. 🙄
-
My "fix" for the rear cockpit window was saw that mother in half and sand down the edges until I got a decent "fit". Later I'll have to do some careful cleaning up on the cut area.
-
Thanks for the photos Dennis.
-
I see Gaz. And I thought it was a subtle hint! LOL
-
Looks to be a big airplane Dennis. That museum has some neat airplanes including a Bearcat.
-
Ain't gonna happen Gaz.

Not without cracking the seam right in front of the tail.
-
Thanks Peter, I hope so. Not counting my chickens just yet though!

Very much so Hubert. 🤪

More progress but one more problem found. I test fit the rear gunners turtleback window and found this problem with the fit. It's one thing after another on this SB2CSOB. 😐
-
Yes indeed Peter.

Thank you! -
Gonna be some outstanding models for sure Peter. I look forward to following along.
-
LOL Gaz. I hope it will be worth all the hassle but we will see.
-
Thank you Ernie. I hope and expect this one will be a good looking model despite all the problems. However Ernie, there is NO WAY I'll want to build another one. 🤪
-
Outstanding Peter! Really nice work and a model to be proud of.
-
I very much appreciate the kind comments! It helps to make the build more worthwhile when you know it might be a inspiration to other modelers.

Thanks Peter. The poor quality of most of the moldings and related fit problems do take away a lot of the enjoyment. I've done some preliminary work on the wings and I have to say, it looks like THAT'S going to be a real chore. 😉
