  1. I've made a little "progress" by drilling out the lightening holes in the cockpit bulkheads plus spraying the interior parts with Grey Green. Next will be black parts such as the instrument panel, etc. I considered JE-J Jr but decided on JE-J.
  2. Wow Peter! That looks like a big ol' chunk of model building to chew on! LOL
  3. Thanks Carl. I've had it for quite a while and finally decided to build it as a change of pace. I'm pleased with the way it turned out.
  4. SHAME ON YOU HARV!!!!
  5. Well you know what that means! I'll have to fork out some cash. Thanks for the heads up! I just went there and ordered a Mk VIII. Probably a good thing for my credit card that they don't have any of the Corsairs on sale!!!!!
  6. Thanks Peter! Tamiya must put something in their 1/32 kits that makes them addictive.
  7. As some of you know, I like to keep something going all the time. LOL So, now that I'm finished with the A-20, I will move on to a Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk IX. I intend to do this one (pictured) BUT that is subject to change. Great kits the Tamiya 1/32 a/c and a pleasure to build. This will be my 6th Tamiya Spitfire. Change of subject. THIS is the one I have decided on.
  8. Thanks Jerry! I appreciate that.
  9. Thanks!!! I think so. If no ladder available it would be a heck of a jump! LOL
  10. Thank you Rob. I tried to be careful with the weathering. Didn't want to overdo it!
  11. LOL Thanks Gaz. Most appreciated.
  12. I'm glad you like it! Thanks!!!
  13. Thanks Jeff! I'm pleased that you like the results of my efforts.
  14. Thank you Peter. I'm glad you like it.
  15. I'm going to re-post my completed 1/48 A-20 here. Just leaving it on the WIP thread doesn't seem to get many responses. Admins, you can change this if necessary but I really feel, like Jeff, any completed model should just go in Finished Work. For being a fairly old kit it still has nice detail and good fit. I added the Vector cockpit set and True Details wheels. Also replacement cowlings from Quickboost. Decals are Zotz. Paint is MM.
  16. Good idea Jeff. I think I'll give that a try. LOL
  17. Thanks Dennis. I appreciate that!
  18. Thanks! I'm glad you like the results of my efforts! I DO appreciate comments on my builds. MUCH better that just a "like".
  19. Thanks Hubert.
  20. Thank you! I appreciate that.
  21. Thus far? This one is done Gaz. Thanks!
  22. FINISHED AMT/Ertl 1/48 A-20G, 312th BG. Paints, as mentioned previously, are all Model Master. The interior green is my own MM mix. After market used was the Vector cockpit set and True Details wheels. Decals are from Zotz. The model went together really well with no real bad fit problems. I hope y'all like it!
  23. This one is done. Pics to follow.
  24. Be careful and don't spray Alclad on too "thick" as it can craze the undercoat and plastic. Two or three lighter coats works best.
