  1. One method I have found that works well is water soluble Vallejo Plastic Putty. Just squeeze a bit along the seam you want to fill then wipe off the excess with a wet Q-tip. Comes in very handy and negates the need for sanding, etc.
  2. LOL Not quite ready for paint. I still need to do the engines and landing gear. But soon!
  3. Must of had the "A" team on part and the "B" team on others.
  4. Although I'm not quite finished with this kit I want to list some things that (in my own humble opinion) it needs. 1. A detailed and more accurate cockpit interior. 2. Replacement props (I'm using some Monogram props which are much more accurate). 3. Replacement wheels (I'm using a True Details resin set. Again much more accurate). 4. Replace the guns with Master Model brass guns (I just ordered some for the B-17 which should be okay). That's all I can think of right now. I will say though the kit can be built OOB and will look good. Just not as accurate as it should/could be.
  5. Just about there Peter.
  6. ?????
  7. Thanks Peter. I feel like it will hold okay.
  8. Coming right along now.
  9. Thanks! I hope those tabs will work out okay.
  10. Thanks! Using the old Monogram pit and Eduard PE helps this model a lot.
  11. Thanks Martin.
  12. I decided to add 3 "tabs" to the nose piece for extra holding power.
  13. Here are the pics I messaged you about Peter. It's relevant to both the KH and SH kits. The first 3 are the SH kit while the last one is KH. I added about 3/16" to both. I don't know if you want to do this but here it is any way.
  14. Outstanding Peter! Great news.
  15. I have a little digital scale I use to weigh the BB's or whatever I plan to use for nose weight. Works okay.
  16. Fingers crossed Peter. Instructions call for 40 grams of weight but I added about 44 or so.
  17. Progress. The nose piece is full of BB's and white glue.
  18. I fervently hope you will get good news Peter!!!
  19. Back a few years ago when I first saw this kit I thought, being Kitty Hawk, it would be a winner. NOT SO! BIG disappointment to say the least. I know Peter you will certainly make a silk purse out of a sows ear here.
  20. LOL Peter. I thought you had already figured that out.
  21. Thanks Phil. I figured that the busier the better for this one.
  22. Looking good Peter. That kit is a PITA to build. I did one and started another but put it on the SOD. Too much aggravation! Whenever I decide on another P-39 it'll be a Special Hobby kit. Still some issues but not nearly the SOB to build. (When I saw "Hobby Boss P-39" on the header I said to myself I was not aware they HAD a 1/32 P-39 kit LOL). I hope any info you find on my KH build will be of help.
  23. I have to say Peter they were a royal PITA! High cuss-factor!
  24. Thanks Peter! I'm pleased you like it.
