  1. Mo betta I think! Note to self: Next time you build a Tamiya Spitfire leave off the side panels until after the nose section is attached to the fuselage.
  2. True but I elected to remove the side panel (thank goodness for debonder). After cleanup I will re-attach it, etc. Fingers crossed.
  3. Here is how it looks after application of primer. Pretty piss poor if I do say so myself! I'm undecided if I should try to remove the side cowling and risk buggering it up or just leave it as is. I'm leaning toward trying to remove it and re-fitting, etc. We'll see.
  4. Could be. I don't remember having so much trouble with my earlier builds. But I've slept since then LOL.
  5. Thanks Jeff. It had me cussing for a while there LOL.
  6. White putty applied. Some cleanup is still needed but it's better than it was.
  7. Engine and cowlings all attached and, try as I might (trimming, etc.) I could not correct this. Very frustrating. Time to get the Tamiya White Putty out. A number 8 cuss-factor (in a range of 1 to 10).
  8. Thanks! It's 53 kb which is a bit smaller than the way it shows up here. Maybe that's the problem.
  9. Okay. Been fiddling with the settings on my camera and I think this is a little better. Why they look "grainy" here and not on my computer I don't understand.
  10. I don't have one of those fancy phones Phil. Just a little flip phone using Consumer Cellular for basic services. Thanks anyway!
  11. Progress! I'll get the engine assembled and attached next. I apologize for the crummy photo(s). I have adjusted and readjusted my photo editing trying to get better photos but (as you can see) no luck.
  12. Happy b-day Martin. I hope it's a good one!
  13. The belts are from the kit and are PE. As far as I have seen the seats in Spitfires were that color. I expect there were some in the gray green color also.
  14. Harv, You might give Shapeways a look. https://www.shapeways.com/ John
  15. Progress as of this AM. Sorry for the crappy picture.
  16. As with all the 1/32 Tamiya kits it's a pleasure to build Ernie. A nice "break" from the high cuss-factor stuff!
  17. Working on it Jeff. Just getting the interior parts sorted out and painted, etc. Photo soon.
