  1. Thanks Martin. It's hard to tell with much accuracy what the camo colors are so I'm going with educated guess's. Too bad the photos of this a/c aren't in color!
  2. The camo colors are estimated RLM colors on this a/c. Certainly not carved in stone since the photo is colorized but I think they are close.🙄
  3. Right now I'm working on the spinner stripe. Not at all easy to get it right. I've tried a couple of decals and couldn't get them to set "right". I've been trying to find a shop that has the Eduard stripe mask set #JX502 but no one has it. Would anyone have one to spare or can you direct me to a "shop" or someone that has one for sale? I've checked with Hannant's, Sprue Bros., Scale Hobbyist, Squadron, Montex, Maketar, Hobby Link Japan, Free Time Hobbies, and ebay with NO results. You'd think someone would have one available. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Update: Looking through some more of my stash I found a '109 mask set for a G-14 which has a spiral on it. I'm going to give it a try and see if it does okay. Should be fine!
  4. Thanks Peter. I don't think I'd go that far but their cockpit sets do add a lot to a model.
  5. LOL All my bottles come out empty! 😄
  6. Aires cockpit with FineMolds belts in place.
  7. This is next up. I've always liked those very late war camo schemes and this one really appeals to me. I'm installing a Aires cockpit and will use some FineMolds seat belts. Since I couldn't come up with appropriate numbers for the white 16 in my decal stash I have some that should be just right coming from Fantasy Printshop in England. Hopefull they won't take too long to get here. I plan to use various brands of paint to get the colors I feel look "right". That includes Testor's MM, Ammo acrylics, Vallejo acrylics, Tamiya acrylics, Colourcoats, and Xtracolor. I hope it turns out well!
  8. Yes indeed it did have it's moments. Never had one that was so warped but I'm glad I was able to correct it and go on and complete the model. I'm glad you like it Ernie.
  9. Thanks Scott! The issue was in doubt at one point! LOL I too am glad I got it finished. I'm glad you like it.
  10. I didn't think so either Peter and I just didn't want to fool with it. I'm glad I changed my mind.
  11. LOL Peter. It sure DID have it's moments. Glad to have it finished thanks. Goes well with my other RLAF bird.
  12. Thank you Mike. You described my feelings exactly. Always knocking something off, etc. Very aggravating! I likely will go back to it later on as I think I have too much work into it to just quit completely. We will see.
  13. Finished with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19916-rlaf-t-28-done/
  14. Got this one done with Hubert's help! He mailed me the needed gun pod pieces that I had somehow misplaced. This is my 2nd RLAF T-28 and possibly not my last! I used a Aires cockpit set to replace the sparse kit item. The seats are from my stash with the armored back plates are cut from sheet styrene. Painted with Colourcoats and Testor's. Decals are from AOA. I hope you like it!
  15. Live and learn Kevin. Haven't built a ship in many years so it's like trying it all over again. It seemed like the right approach but it just didn't work out this time. Something to file away in my memory for whenever I decide to build another (or resume work on this one). 🤪
