Me too Carl. One of those things.

Agreed Hubert. Too bad the B-51 didn't get the go-ahead as I really like that a/c. It was in a movie with William Holden named Toward the Unknown.

Outstanding work Kevin! Now I wish I hadn't sold my unbuilt kit off!!!

Thanks Gaz! It should make a nice looking bird after all is said and done. My understanding as to the change in designation was because the Martin B-26 Marauder was being phased out of inventory. The Air Force no longer used the "A" for attack designation so I guess they decided it was only natural to re-designate the A-26 Invader with the "B" suffix. Sure has caused a lot of confusion over the years. π€ͺ

Proceeding right along with this one. I had to add a gun sight, compass and and seat belts from my stash of leftovers. The resin wheels are True Details although I might not use them as the kit items are a bit more accurate for a "K" but have no tread.

Both kits have some problems unfortunately, especially the -1D. No comparison to the Tamiya kit. I built one ages ago and replaced darn near everything from my spares stash and after market stuff. The -4 is better but still has some problems as you know. Here's a couple of photos of the -1D I built back in 2010 Aires cockpit and wheel wells plus other after market stuff. No way was I going to try to fold the wings! LOL

Nope, no Bay of Pigs version at least for the foreseeable future.

Gettin' there Martin. LOL Thanks.

Thank you Peter.

Thanks Hubert. Should be a nice one!

Looks like it's going to be the ICM 1/48 B-26K. Ought to look good with the black undersides, etc. Here's a pic of the earlier build of the A-26B that I built a couple of years ago.

Thanks Rockie. I think it turned out pretty well. If you do decide to build one I'd recommend getting a Vector cockpit set. I got mine here: https://www.ultracast.ca/searchresults.asp?Search=Vector+1%2F32+P-51&Submit= Not cheap but it is the best price I could find and WAY better than on ebay. -

Thanks Paul. I built a Tamiya 1/48 one YEARS ago and modified it to a -3. I agree that a 1/32 one would be cool and a bit different. I'll have to check around and see what's available, etc. -
Maybe but not likely Hubert. LOL π

Thanks Chris. I'm happy you like it. Yep, I have a heck of a lot of left over and spare parts, pieces and decals as a result of over 50 years of modelling. -
After re-checking the kit I now see there are NO rockets. Oh well, back in the box and I decided to get a Hasegawa kit on ebay that I know is complete. So in the mean time I'll see what else I can get started on.........π

Thank you Frank. I'm glad you like the results of my work. -
I don't know for sure Carl but I don't think Eduard did a Typhoon. I made a mistake Carl. My kit is the old Monogram kit, not Hasegawa. LOL Brain fart.
-
Decided against it for now. How about a old boxing of the Monogram 1/48 Hawker Typhoon! Had it on the shelf for MANY years LOL! Uh oh! No canopy! No telling where it got to over the years! Maybe I can find a replacement somewhere. Update: Found one on ebay.
