  1. Don't know why they didn't do any color call-outs Peter but I will be happy to assist you in that. No problemo! LOL
  2. Thank you Peter. The SOD surely did need thinning out!
  3. I too lament ModelMaster abandoning their enamels. Some of the best around. I really like Xtracolor but it isn't available here anymore. The only way to get a "supply" is if someone in Britain will send it to me. HINT HINT!!! LOL (I still have a lot on hand but there are a few colors I'd like to get a re-supply of).
  4. I've been a enamel user for all my modeling years (over 60!) and am now trying out some acrylics. So far I've tried mostly Tamiya and Mr. Color (Luftwaffe) and some MIG Ammo (Luftwaffe). I've had good luck with Tamiya and Mr. Color. Mig seems okay but I haven't used it enough to make much of a judgement. I don't have their thinner so I guess I should pick some up. I will still use enamels as my #1 paint but the acrylics will get some use too.
  5. Painting underway.
  6. I just ordered one of these as it appears to be a really nice kit of a '190. Checking here on LSM I found your build. Nice job! I look forward to starting this one as soon as it shows up!
  7. Coming right along. I was pleased that the wings fit so well! (By the way, this was rescued from the SOD. I had already done significant work on the wings and other areas.) I've decided on this one.
  8. I installed a nice Eagle Parts cockpit set, FineMolds belts, and Quick Boost guns. I'll clean up the seams and then attach the rear fuselage pieces.
  9. LOL That's a good thing then Peter.
  10. RLM 76 is correct Peter. Or it could possibly be RLM 84.......
  11. LOL Don't get your hopes up. Anyway, it's not all that different from the two I'm considering.🙄
  12. Yes for now Peter although I've decided to consider the 1st one also. I did some photo shop changes to see how it would look in this scheme.
  13. I've decided on the third one, blue 7 bar. HOWEVER, I plan to make some changes on the camo. Nothing drastic, just a few "adjustments". "Artistic license"! LOL 83 and 81a on wings. In the absence of good color photos proving me wrong I'm gonna stick with this. (The Eaglecals sheet has it a bit different but, like I said, no good color photos are available AFIK.)
  14. Yep, I see that now. I was looking at their side numbers. 🤪
  15. #21? Maybe......
  16. This time another Hasegawa/Revell kit. Late war Bf-109K. I'm undecided on which one but it will be one of these 4 shown in this book. Stay tuned! Click on the photos for a clearer view.
  17. Thanks Phil. I'm pleased with it too. That yellow tail gives it a different than usual look I think.
  18. Thanks Gaz! I'm glad you like it. I found that little antenna post on the carpet under my desk! Glad I didn't have to scratch one. LOL
  19. Finished with this one! https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19234-fw-190d-9-completed/
  20. Hasegawa/Revell kit. Enjoyable kit to build with very few headaches. After market used was the True Details cockpit set rescued from the '190A-7 that crashed and burned (yes, I know it's a bit different in a D-9 but I used it anyway!). Painted with MM, AeroMaster, Mr. Color, Mig and some of my own "mixes". Decals are from Eaglecals. I really like the very late war Luftwaffe color schemes and I plan to do some more. I hope you like it!
  21. Looking good Peter! 🖕
  22. Cool!
  23. Thanks Peter. I was hoping to avoid that on this build. 🤪 Now I'll have to scratch one as I haven't been able to find it.
