If I ever decide I want to build another Bf-109 it won't be one by ZM. In my opinion the Hasegawa kits are quite satisfactory and don't suffer from poor instructions and poor fit (and high price!). We can always purchase after market items to "dress 'em up" (decals, resin detail sets, etc).

Wings are on. Next I'll begin assembling the flaps, etc.

That Yahu IP looks better than the other but it still has a few "speckles". Probably not readily visible when installed, etc.

In my own very humble opinion Peter I'd either paint over the 66 on this one or do another one using one of the other kit parts. That speckle pattern just doesn't look right even though the panel is small. On my build I used the gray kit panel, painted it overall 66, then applied gloss black on the dials. Then I dry brushed the raised detail. Just a suggestion.

Can y'all believe it!!!! 😲 I managed to get the engine attached! Broke a couple of supports doing it but reinstalled them afterwards. Far from perfect but I'll take it!

After some consideration I have decided to model this a/c instead of Hartmann's.

A little test fitting going on! Fits fine so far! 🙄🤞

I got lucky and had no problem with it. My magnifier came in very handy!
