Finished with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19189-hasegawa-148-typhoon-done/

Chalk up another completed build. As is usual with Hasegawa the fit was very good with no real problems. This is essentially OOB except for replacement exhausts and a 4-blade prop (this particular kit had the 3-blade). Painted with a combination of Xtracolor, Testor's MM, and Colourcoats. Decals are from my decal stash. I hope you like it.

Good luck Carl!!!! One of these days it'll show up here. ðĪŠ

LOL Ernie. It's a nice kit alright.

Those sure are crude! Wouldn't look very good on the model. I'm fully aware those stripes varied considerably. You learn a lot when you've been modelling as long as I have (over 60 years).
-
Thanks Peter. The stripes do need some touch up but on the whole I think they came out okay. Probably a lot "neater" than the original!

More progress this morning. Upper surfaces camo is next. I'm glad this a/c didn't have invasion stripes on the uppers. Too friggin' tedious! LOL

Yep, looks real good! -
Agreed Ernie. I hope someone will pick up the slack and start a new line of similar stuff.

We'll just have to muddle through like we always have Peter. ðĪŠ I asked SB about the Hurricane and was told they had no idea as to when it would show up. No matter, I'll be ready for one when that develops.
-
I didn't know they were Russian PW. That's good to know these days. ð

I'm pleased that you like it Peter. I'm happy with the way it turned out too.

Really looking good Mike. I wish there was a 1/32 F2A-3 kit available as I'd like to build one of those to go with the 1/48 Tamiya one I modified YEARS ago. I suppose if I REALLY wanted a -3 bad enough I could modify this kit. Not too difficult I suppose as all that's needed is to lengthen the fuselage in front of the wind screen. Something to think about! LOL ð

Thanks for the info Ernie. I'm glad to see it'll be a good looking Hurricane model especially with some after market goodies. Later: I'm surprised to find that Quinta doesn't have a 1/32 Hurricane set! No big deal. I'll just use the kit stuff whenever it shows up. I thought King's had them in stock when I ordered but it turns out they don't. They put it in preorder and expect to have it in a week or so. Since I was not aware of that I decided to cancel my order and just wait for SB to get them. ð
