  1. John Nice progress on the front office and so glad no issues at all. She does have a semi Skyraider feel and look.
  2. Gaz Good luck at the show and your packing seems as a safe as it can be done. 🤞
  3. Carl Sems there is always something to deal with and glad there wasn't much overspray in the bomb bay to backtrack and correct. The corrected weathering on the 'offenders' looks spot on the money and nice to see you're now moving forward.
  4. John Your so right, both seats appear to be very delicate and need a tender touch.
  5. John Terrific choice for your next build. I'll be front and center, start to finish
  6. Kai Rescribing looks perfect and you are 100% correct.
  7. Happy Birthday John Just so glad we're both here at this ripe old age ... I'm only a few months behind you.
  8. Awesome build and your photography is equal to the high level of your Cobra.
  9. Thanks Rob, very much appreciated. Thank goodness there is hope that Tamiya will go the extra mile and start including Cartograph decals and dye cut masks in any new 32nd scale kits that might be coming our way. It seems so long since a new 32nd scale actually was released, especially if we don't count different versions that were already designed into existing kit as a new release. Fingers crossed
  10. Carl Tricky work for sure but it works. Fingers crossed
  11. Thanks Mark, very much appreciated. I'm finally closing in on the finish line and it's been quite an unexpected jurney.
  12. May he Rest in Peace as Jaak flies west. Surely, the Greatest generation loses another of its own.
  13. Thanks John, I'll pick up a bottle and test before decaling. Thanks for the tip - going to come in handy for sure.
  14. Thanks Drifter. Like you, I've built so many Tamiya kits over the years, I lost count and the only two I've had decal issues with was the Spitfire and the F-16 Viper. In both cases, the decals cracked and shattered and Tamiya replaced both sets. In each case the kits had been released for a number of years before I bought them and there is the possibility they sat in a hot and humid warehouse for an extended period before they become part of my stash. Other older Tamiya kits I've bought, no issues at all. Looking at it on the bright side, Tamiya Customer Service handle my warranty/replacement requests quickly and at no cost - couldn't ask for more.
  15. Thanks Kai, so greatly appreciated. I'm positive when you build you Spitfire, it will easily surpass my efforts in detail and finish. Looking forward to your build down the line.
  16. Carl In the instructions, is there a callout for the amount of weight needed in the nose at all and where HB suggests placing it? I remember at the start of the build, the amount of time you invested in working out the weight and balance issue and I thought you had it nailed. Nothing like a taildragger that completely eliminates this monumental issue.
  17. Kai Looking so good. Progress may look small and going slowly, but I can fully appreciate the amount of work and time that was needed to complete these details and parts. Replacing lost, removed or missing panel lines is my least favorite part of any build and it just seems when you think you're done, presto; there is more that was lurking. You're a amster at finding them and restoring the lost details.
  18. John So glad to see the SBD across the line. Terrific choice on the markings and the weathering is perfect and so well done.
  19. John Superb build especially after having to find a few unique workarounds the kit's shortcoming. Terrific choice for the markings and a nice touch with the weathering.
  20. Carl Holy Smokes that's some mighty impressive additions to the AM stash. Hoping you dive into the B-25 soon - now that's temping and would fit nicely into the display case.
  21. Phil So very much appreciated and nothing as so tough as living up to an "I told you so" 😉
