  1. John You have my vote
  2. John You're a braver man then me - going for the wings unfolded. Fingers crossed.
  3. Hi John More then nice progress on the Trumpy Corsair - looking might good. I'm hoping you decide to go with the wings in the up/folded position, so you won't have to deal with all the issues you had on the Skyraider. For me when a kit has movable panels, options how to display the wings and panels, they more left open seem to be the best option and way to go. Have you made any decisions yet?
  4. Good news. Let us know when it arrives🤞
  5. John Right with Phil. I loved my Mossie build and it was a challenge at times
  6. Phil Right with you and I need new glasses regardless of the scale.
  7. Paul Any news on when the item will be delivered?
  8. Carl Awesome news ... looking forward to the Big B-24 updates.
  9. Mark Nice progress on your Lanc - paint work looks perfect
  10. John Right with you on hoping Tamiya finds 32nd scale aircraft again in their future plans for new kits. For years we have all been hoping for the big three: P-51B, P-38 and a Jug. Maybe we'll get lucky, who knows.
  11. Phil Looking forward to following and will be along for the journey
  12. John Come to think of it, when was the last time Tamiya actually released a new 32nd scale kit? it's been a good while and I don't seem to remember. Most of their aircraft efforts have been in 48th scale - nope, not complaining as I have purchased most and built quite a few.
  13. Dennis Nice find for sure. Looking forward to a build thread in the near future
  14. Rob Not good news at all. Always bad news when a model company decides to stop production of their kits and then it becomes a waiting game as to whether or not they will resume production.
  15. John Nothing like a Trumpeter Corsair with all the movable parts and 'some fit' issues from the SOD, to get the juices flowing. Nice start on cleaning up the interior and a fresh coat of interior green. Looks like a new kit underway on your bench at this stage and my money is riding on you to finish her up in grand style as she rolls out across the line.
  16. John Some mighty fine work as always and the tri color cammo looks so good. Looking forward to seeing her with the decals on
  17. Thanks Dennis for the reminder. I once did just that and don't want to fall into that pit again.
  18. Thanks Carl for the help and tutorial photos - it surely helps, I'll be doing the exact same.
  19. Thanks John Feels like a good one for the Gipper!
  20. Mark Thats some collection of tires and it took me a while but now I know which build they belong to.
  21. John Medium blue looks so good: smooth and perfectly glossy.
  22. Hi Carl, very much appreciated. Yes, the AK paints I've used were incredible, easy to use and zero issues at all. No question, they are the equal of both MRP and Tamiya Lacquers - now which to use 😉
  23. Thanks Rob, something I'll need to keep in mind and play with a while to figure it out. Maybe keeping the applied putty as thin as possible is the key, who knows but it does look like the way to go. ?
  24. Paul, very much appreciate your kind comments on the cammo work. It was a lot of work until I figured out how to make the masks work together from the different views as they just didn't line up very well and loads of gaps to work around. When all was said and done, I was very fortunate that the work paid off and there no new issues to deal with.
  25. Hi Paul As a kid growing up in the 50's, two toys we always had in supply in the house were Silly Putty and Slinky's. From what I remember, Silly putty never dried up, you just lost the egg it was kept in. Going to give the putty method a shot next cammo build for sure.
