  1. Truly inspiring build, I love the weathering . Welcome to the forum Nat. Cheers Martin
  2. Thanks for the heads up Scott, I was actually thinking about some product for leather. Also do you guys have any good suggestion for ABS trim conditioner ?
  3. I see, that makes sense. It is not really visible from the picture. She's gonna look sweet.
  4. I don't know if the extra work related to the addition of those brass blast tubes it really necessary ? Plastic pieces seems to provide the same look.
  5. Hi Jeff, I didn't make it to Carzilla yet, but in the meanwhile I ordered this up on Evilbay https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Chemical-Guys-HOL-101-JetSeal-109-5050-Paste-Wax-Ultimate-Shine-Protect/182298446652?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  6. How did this thread got to K-36 ? LOL I am really excited to see all the little changes you are implementing to this already beautiful kit Ernie. Fist cut is the scariest then everything goes red and...wait...what am I talking about? Cheers M.
  7. He he , thanks Jeff. Here is my buddie's California Special GT, just a little teaser for Mike
  8. Nicey, I didn't know that Mike. Any particular trim, colour that you have in mind. Boss 302 perhaps?
  9. It's not me it was my wonderful wife, she had it soldered in seconds, I did the easy part....quality control LOL ...was thinning the prop blades and scribing the spinners, cutting the back plates, more tomorrow
  10. Looks pretty comfortable on my screen Ernie. Small step for Ernest, a giant leap for the man kind.... The real deal looks like something you can find at the end of the green mile
  11. Sorry , I didn't make it . There was a whole chain of unpleasant events , our nanny called in sick, we were waiting for UPS delivery that supposed to show up day before ..... and still waiting
  12. Sterling silver in action Needless to say that the hub detail is molded off-centre , so that's why. There will be more work coming into the openings, but first I need to find some decent pics.
  13. As Hubert noted above, Lodela does not provide much of an improvement or corrects anything. The V-tail is wrong , canopies are mediocre at the best and the photo-etched parts are really very simplistic. Model Monkey cockpit set was brought to my attention by Carl on the previous page, however I do not want to build this kit into perfection with a use of aftermarket. I would like to see what can be done with a use of basic tools and techniques . I am having fun sanding , cutting and filing. Don't forget guys that I am just an assembler motivational pic.
  14. Thank you guys. Hubert , the strip is there temporarily and serves as a guide line to keep my scribing in place.
  15. Fantastic presentation !
  16. there are 4 known ways that RCAF used to convert the turrets into observation posts, or in some cases get a rid of them all together. Submarine style observer windows plexi insert Filled the gun openings with metal stripes Use the turret frame and sheet it over
  17. Piper floatplane ! ........ have no idea
  18. The idea is to wrap a u-shaped metal stipe around this rail, fingers crossed
  19. Than you Carl, Revell is the only game in town of course and there are many, many places that are in need of improvement . I am trying to address only the most apparent ones. For instance the fairing in front of the observer's canopy
  20. Nice work Hubert. Last time I went to Costco, I saw Silhouette Curio for approximately 200 CAD and that is very affordable price tag. Does it come with decent software as well , or do you have to buy it additionally . Cheers M.
