  1. Everyone rants about how good they are but they are nearly always out of stock in the UK , TBH given up on the idea of using them , I'm not paying to import them from CZ , or buying endless 'sets ' to get a particular colour. I'm also not sure what the score with Alclad UK is now either as they seem to have disappeared / rebranded / doubled in price/ half the range they used to have . Meanwhile I can walk into any Hobbycraft and pick up most Tamiya's colours for a coupla quid. Go BREXIT I thought. 🤮
  2. Looking for MRP paint in the UK ...
  3. Awaiting parts for the frightening and doing some "completions"....everything bar the belts and some touching up and then zip it up . interior colour is toned down XF71 Cockpit Green from Tamiya, as it always seems very dark for the scale , although is not a bad match overall . I like the Yahu panel I bought a year ago , although so far inside it won't be seen . "Wiring" is 100% made up .
  4. Inspo from Hendon , thought I had more sadly
  5. Fascinating looking build this one , lovely to see stuff out of the ordinary .
  6. Go on Peter give it the full monty !
  7. Nice surgery doctor Hawkeye...😀
  8. There comes a point where roles reverse with parents and the child becomes the care giver. It’s an odd time to transition for both quite often. Wishing a speedy recovery to you both. for me …..distraction continues
  9. Have done similar on other aircraft , dill out the plastic axel and make a brass one, stronger and lets you put the wheel on when it suits you
  10. Once you go metal tracks ....you won't go back to plastic ...just saying . 😀 Look a those lovely burnished Tiger tracks ....NOM !
  11. That's a a dog old Transall ex German Lufty from 1971 . There is reason old airframes can't carry on for years and years no matter how much we love them . Hi Maru 👋
  12. More distraction whilst I let oils dry . Too advanced already for the twin build but needs completion .
  13. That is a very precise build , looks very Spitfire underneath with that wing .
  14. Very nice , raised the bar somewhat on most of our efforts this year . Figures capture the brothers look very well .
  15. I have to do it in chunks and take a rest , it's just too much work on the giant salami to do it all in one push . I also need to think what this dio is going to look like before hacking the foam . 🤔
  16. Oops double post ...probably wasn't that good first time around
  17. 1/35 B17 ....for the man who believes that 'size is everything' ...? .......that'll be a 36 inch wingpsan ....maybe I'm in the wrong place but that's lost on me gents . 😖 Who the heck has room for that ? Even wrestling it around to build it is beyond most peoples bench no ? I suppose great if you like that sort of thing ,and looking at the Kate if it's anything like that it will be impressive in detail . I suspect this may become another $600 buck stash queen like all those Lancs you don't see built . Thank heavens it wasn't in "true scale" that would make it 39 inches , you can see now why they whine about this scalism on some other forums , that extra 6 inches......... makes all the difference I'm sure . 😂
  18. Back in 1232...or any ISIS run state ...
