  1. Mindboggling and inspirational. I tried laminating once and decided it was beyond my abilities. Please continue
  2. Thnx Rob, works like a charm! Still lots to do..
  3. The model recieved a Gunze matt coat and is now ready for pencil weathering. I love these AK pencils... Just started. This should keep me busy for a few days
  4. Congrats! Hope you had a great day!
  5. Kind words Grant! It’s been too long for us not to chat. Hope you are in good health!
  6. Building some armour every now and then is good to keep the juices going. Looms like a typical great Takom kit!
  7. Doing some research in what stencils were on this plane. So far i can only discern the yellow fuel type triangle, handhold stencils, fuselage footstep stencils and NO nicht anfassen markings on the rudder taps. The props are interesting. The rear should be anti glare black. The front aluminium. In some photos the rear shows yellow tips. In some they do not. The instructions tell you that the black dot on the spinner was painted on to create the idea of a cannon. If you look closely you see the tip of the spinner is a little black disc with a screw in the center. Indeed painted black.
  8. Small steps. Pretty happy with numeral and swastika maskings. After some thought i will use a decal for the nose emblem. Pulling off paint again helped me with this decision.
  9. I keep the mask under a thin stream if warm water. Dont want the water in the model itself.
  10. I read that the vanes had to do with the underwing rockets. I’ll look it up again. i only read good reviews about the primer i used, but it’s shit. Probably quite literally too... i found a way to take the masks off safe. Keep them under warm water.
  11. Managed to fix it. Kind of.. The balkenkreuzen with Miracle paint masks went fine.
  12. Disaster... again problems with my primer. This was the last time. Mig one shot. Well, i wont give it another shot!! Simply Touching this primer will cause it to give. I will never use it again. Besides: i should have known better since i had the same problems with the Buchon and this primer.
  13. Have a great day!!! Cheers! Jeroen
  14. Thnx! just sprayed the overpainted spanish markings:
  15. I was pointed out that the stitchings on the rudder are waaay overdone. So sanded them back and will repaint.
  16. I found RLM63 too green and dark. RLM02 too green. so i mixed some rlm65 and rlm02:
  17. Finished the base. Drilled holes in the corners. Added screws.
  18. Did a test on a spare part. Rlm63 is a bit too dark and green for my taste. Found the AK paint doesnt mix too well with gunze. So ordered a whole batch of AK Rlm colours to get the rlm63 a bit greyer and lighter.
  19. Retail estimate is 75 dollars.
  20. Here's a look at the decals:
