  1. Working on the masks now. Managed to trace the numeral on the engine with photoshop and illustrator:
  2. Good point! I will create that with the pencils but i need a darker base for that
  3. You made me think and look it over. I drilled out the rivets of the right panel behind the engine, sanded it down, removed the small inlets and removed the area behind the exhaust. Now it makes sense.
  4. Hi Wolf, your observation made me think... The right hand side panel was indeed metal but has been removed. See this photo. Therefor the 3 small vents need to be removed on my model as well. The left hand side still has the panel and three vents and therefor does not feature the wooden delamination. I used really thin greencard since i wanted to use plastic for this. Paper dipped in CA could be a way to go. Might become a mess, but might also be more realistic...
  5. Thnx for those pics Rick! sprayed a black AK base. Then various wood shades on wooden areas. After the paint has thoroughly dried i’ll spray hairspray and then build up the grey and green shades. also drilled out the rivets on the nose and sawed the joint line.
  6. Really cool. Looking forward to the V1 kit and curious to see how the accuracy is.
  7. Oooh yes! Lovely work on that nose turret that shall hereafter not be called nose turret!
  8. Started with the rotted lamited wood using a dremel tool at slow speed. I need to take away more first before i add some back.
  9. Cutting away the right engine nacelle cover. You can’t follow panel lines for this but need to study the photo reference. and as you can see i closed off the gun ports since the NASM example doesn’t have any.
  10. When i read RSO i expected something different, but this is cool. I love Bravo 6 miniatures. Have the Fury crew by them.
  11. I normally use Prisma pencils or LYRA Super Ferby pencils. These are up there with them. They're supposed to react well to water as well, so I'll try that this weekend. The thing i really like are the colours. Many cool earth tones that work well with military colours and subjects.
  12. Thnx for all the reference guys! Almost finished up the pit. Only seatbelts and the canopy release lever to go. Started work on the gear. Cleanup up the parts and as you can see i got the resin flattened tyres. The NASM version does not have it’s wheels installed, but i will on mine. Also bought some new AK weathering pencils today and eager to try them out.
  13. Really cool progress!! Wow... speechless...
  14. I have a selection of watch springs. Perfect to replicate the spring in the pit.
  15. First i’m sorting the instrument panel. I’m using the kit part because of the nice instrument housings on the back and eduard Photo etch for the front. Drilled some instruments out and am now adding the kit decals to the remaining instruments.
  16. I love that faded and patches effect and will add lots of wiring at the next stage.
