Hi James - any progress pictures of your new workshop?! Thanks to you I'll be spending £notes 'cos what I've seen so far of the HZ products has impressed me somewhat!! Also Ben tells me that you are using a new and improved Mr. Cement S and a gel superglue that are giving outstanding results!! Details please - costs availability etc. Speak soon. Steve S.

Well done JIm - I applaud your action!! Steve S.

Luvly Jase! We don't get to see that much Greek 'stuff' - I think they're quite difficult to get looking right due to the amount of weathering they 'suffer', but you've captured the look really well. Now how about cracking on with that KittyHawk Sabre Dog!?!? Bravo! Steve S.

Hi Jase - have you actually started this kit yet or are you bypassing and going straight on to the Sabre Dog - that'd be nice!! Me, I'd wait a while on the 'Dog until the After Marketeers' have shown their hand 'cos there's some really nice schemes out there to be had! Regards, Steve S.

Jase - thanks for your comprehensive review. I was already salivating from the info that's currently out there but you've ratcheted it up a notch or two! I'm sure from the quality kits Kittyhawk has released to date that they will continue to be keep us LSM'ers more than happy, hopefully long into the future. 'More power to their elbow!!' Steve S. P.S. how about Glen at Kittyhawk doing an British 'Toom - now that would be something!

Hello All Anyone have any idea when the Kittyhawk Sabre Dog will be available in the UK?

Hello Ralph - yes what a glorious choice of subject, particularly in the SEA scheme!! I built this behemoth back in the long ago and seem to recall I collapsed the undercarriage by overweighting the nose - beware! Good luck with such a lovely shape. I watch with interest all your builds and marvel at your prodigious output! Regards, Steve S. (yes, I'll finish a model some time soon!) -
Jeroen - you really are doing an A number one bang up job of this beautiful aeroplane and what is truly a great kit!! I hope and trust this superb level of kit creation will be carried over on to the forthcoming late mark Hurricane kit which I know I'll be investing in!! Beautiful work Jeroen! Regards, Steve S.

Being Treasurer I've got to say that I didn't have too much of an opportunity to actually go around the hall looking at what was on offer. However i know a few people who may well have taken a few piccies so I'll see what i can 'scare up' - got to keep the peasants happy!! SteveS.

Hi All For the last 15 years IPMS Bolton has endeavoured to put on a model show in January and we've only ever had to cancel once due to weather - not bad eh!? Yesterday IPMS Bolton did it again and put on what was probably our best Show to date. Now my reason to mention all this is not to brag but to take the opportunity to thank one of LSMs stalwarts, our very own - "I'll have a glass of red" James Hatch!! Not only did he put 2 superb models on display, namely the Do.335 and the Arado 234 - both of which are stunning examples of our hobby, but he supported Bolton IPMS by providing a number of quite valuable kits which we were able to give as prizes to our contest winners. I've been asked by our Club members to publicly thank Jim for his support and trust it will continue! Thanks Jim, you are a star!! Regards, Steve S, Treasurer Bolton IPMS.

I was lucky enough to meet the 'main man' at Telford and was impressed by his 'can do' attitude, even when I pressed him to produce a British Phantom!! He didn't instantly dismiss it but he didn't go so far as to say will do! My money is on a single engined fighter, hopefully British and hopefully a late mark of Hurricane - let's give the man time and wait and see. Steve S.

When you see it in 'the flash' there's only one word for it - stunning!! Can't wit for the two stage to appear! Well done once again James!!

HK Models 1:32 Mosquito bomber coming soon!
mgbgtv8steve replied to James H's topic in Modelling Discussion
Thanks for that James - it helps build my confidence in this exciting release! Do we have any idea as to price? I'd imagine that it'll be somewhat akin to the B.25. See you at Telford. Steve S. -

What a scoop James - well done!! HK has certainly started in the right place for me with the Mossie and are to be applauded! Roll on Telford - or is it 'The Nationals'?1?! Steve S. -
I've tried before with you lot with NIL response but I thought I'd give you another chance to impress me with your knowledge of things aeronautical, so here goes!! I'm on with the 1/32nd Italeri F104S and am getting to the stage of working out what was a typical load out for the Italian Zippers - I'm thinking tip tanks, wing tanks and 2 x AIM9Ls'. Now then, I've seen that they generally carried the centreline pylon but it was hardly ever seen with anything on it. I know it had the ability to use the twin Sidewinder pylon under the fuselage but again I can't find any photos of it ever being used by the Italian Air Force. What do you think boys? I'll get on with growing a very long beard while I wait for a response!! Steve S.

Ben and I will be on the Bolton IPMS stand for both days - at least i will - so if you want to park some of your models on our table, we'll be happy to accomadate you!! Look forward to meeting you all. Regards, Steve S.

Once again James you have raised the bar of reviews! Thank you and very well done!! Regards, Steve S.

Hi all - I'm just about to crack open the Italieri F.104G/S and am thinking of using the Zotz decal sheet which includes a one off special - F.104S ASA MM.6909 in an attractive two tone air superiority gray scheme. Zotz give the colours as Dark Blue Gray FS35273 and Light Gray FS36375 which I understand to be Light Compass gray. It's 35273 that has me scratching my head as it looks as though it could be close to Gunship gray but is a different FS number. My question is, can anyone steer me to the right colour and if so what Gunze Sanyo would match it or come very close? I look forward to hearing. Steve S.

Talk about 'hot of the press!!' Arrived this morning and briefly reviewed this afternoon - now that's what you call a dedicated LSM reviewer! It looks terrific and I'm sure will result in a 'corking model' to go alongside the F.4 - can't wait! regards, Dad -
