All primed and ready for painting with Tamiya lacquer Mica Blue. Kind of a metallic dark blue color. :)

I'm pretty sure the doctor said you need to come up for air - I've never seen you build at this pace before - you've easily hit your stride

Keep 'em comin

Peter.

LOL Peter! It's just that I enjoy the work, etc. Also, being retired and single I have all the time I want for building. Keeps me occupied. :)

I painted the upper wings with that Tamiya Mica Blue but I DON"T LIKE IT. So now I'm going to look around for a different shade of blue. 🤪

After digging through my large stash of paint I decided to try this one, Xtracolor RAF Oxford Blue. I LIKE IT! LOL After a couple of coats I should have a nice shiny smooth paint job (if I don't run out of paint as I only have about 1/2 of a tinlet). Fingers crossed. 😉

I like it better. But to my eye, it's a little dark. But hey, that's me.....harv

After all is said and done Harv it will be satisfactory. Color photos of that period can fade or degenerate, etc. Check this out. Same photo but not cropped.Thunderbird.jpg.4c47dbd2b29669385847b73d9f4ef943.jpg

Looks pretty good John, certainly a lot closer than the Tamiya.

Agreed Gus. That Tamiya color was recommended in the decal instructions but I figure they'll have to re-think that.
