I sure seems as if it took a lot more cutting and fitting then you should have had to do but in the end, you worked your magic and the office looks mighty good in the fuselage .

Keep 'em comin

Peter

Yes it did Peter. Aires ought to put some effort into molding their parts for some semblance of FIT.

Completely agree as it's one thing to offer a detail AM part but quite another to offer a part that has both the detail and some resemblance of fitting.

Awesome progress and she does look good in her white primer. Looking forward to seeing the color coats on.

Thank you Peter. Since I posted that photo I've added the Willow Green wing and fuselage stripes, the anti glare panel on the nose, and the black exhaust areas on the sides of the fuselage. I think I'll let it sit over night to be sure all that is dry, etc and then start masking off those areas in readiness for the overall yellow. :)

I am liking it John esp. the add-on to the rear seat that is cool!I have lived in Biloxi for the most all my life and I remember watching these planes as a young boy(60s) take off/land all day at KAFB.MY Dad was a CS Instructor out at KAFB and they had a park/recreation area across from the flight line just sit and watch.:)

I'm glad you are liking it Kevin. I'm sure it had to be a lot of fun to watch 'em come and go. (When I'm done with this "B" I intend to do a red/white "C".:))

Got all the masking in place so now I'll re-spray flat white base over the black and green overspray areas in preparation for the 1st coat of gloss yellow.:)

Orange yellow paint looking good and "chuggin along" doesn't come close to your high gear speed.

Keep 'em comin

Peter

Thanks Peter. I had to do a mix to get the right shade of orange yellow. Testor's Yellow right out of the bottle is too light so I added a bit of red to get the shade I wanted. Looks about right to me. :)

The yellow looks spot on . Years ago the best "Yellow" and dead accurate was by Pactra and unfortunately; long gone.

Keep '

em comin

Peter

Agreed Peter. Pactra had some good paints (I still have a couple). Just plain Testor's "yellow" for this a/c is too light so a little drop or two of red mixed in works well. :)
