JohnB Posted May 5, 2023 Share Posted May 5, 2023 Another Tamiya Corsair for the collection. VMF-351 off of USS Cape Glouchester escort carrier at Okinawa 1945. After market items are Barracudacast wheels and cockpit details. The FF51 decals are MicroScale and the one kill marking is from my decal stash. All the other decals are from the kit. Painted with MM GSB with a over spray with Alclad semi-flat. Quite a enjoyable build as are all the Tamiya Corsair kits! The pictures of them always look sand blasted .🤣 A lot of the island based Corsairs suffered from bright sunlight and sand which was tough on the finish.
