1/32 Devastator in my LHS, and I STILL haven’t received my preordered kits.

I preordered from Squadron, and I received notice today that they may ship on the 30th.

But I just bought one for the exact same price from my LHS.

I miss the days when I could go to my LHS,  Venture hobbies, in Wheeling, Illinois....now, sadly, long gone. Do any of our members remember this place?

Anyway, I'm interested in this kit. I attempted to build the old Monogram kit

years ago...encountering huge fit issues. A new-tool kit of this kit is highly

tempting.... Although I've got more kits right now than is reasonable to own.

I just purchased a Miniart kit because Sprue Brothers has a sale right

now.....it turned out it was the last one they had! Anyway, this kit...and their

Dauntless, are two Trumpy kits on my buy list.

The price seems to be around $110.00 USD, so about average.   It’s nice to see that Trumpeter has stopped their astronomical MSRP practices.  This kit almost looks like a simple blow up of the GWH 1/48 kit.

I had SNAFU like that once, too.  Complained to the proprietor from whom I ordered said kit, and he didn;t believe other shops in Australia were already selling said kit.  So, I showed him evidence and he then said that it was my fault for ordering something 'not-in-stock', and that it wasn't his fault that the supplier "ICM" didn't send it to him.  So, I cancelled my order, got my refund  and bought one from a nicer place.   Low and behold, over a year later, my kit arrived from the original shipper.

 

Anyway...   enjoy your TBD.

I bought mine at our local hobby shop a week ago. They get a fair amount of new stuff in before a lot of the big E-tailers do.
