Martinnfb Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 This is a very basic kit that requires lots off additional work. such as: - added missing wiring - added missing return fuel lines - added rivet detail on the commander cupola ring and exhaust shielding - reworked all the storage container fasteners, fuel drum straps - replacement of the light guards - adding the mud guards/ fenders - reworking the mantlet cover - adding bore sightings points on the crown of the gun, plus drain plug with few extra fasteners etc. - welding seams -additional detail for NSV , Utyos machine gun - adding locks on cupola hatches - making antenna whip out of brass tubing and monofilament and Mmmmany others. Did I enjoy it, yes. Would I do it again. Probably not. 6 1

Martinnfb Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 Thank you Paul. I would love to see yours finished. In matter of fact your build was the main reason why I bought this kit. Cheers M. 2
PanzerWomble Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Thats pretty good up close , did you re do a lot of those weld beads on the fender? ERA blocks are damn fine too . Not fancy using the Copium cage ? 2
Martinnfb Posted October 12, 2023 Author Posted October 12, 2023 There were no beads at all to start with. I messed them up on the fenders, having no time to fix it before the show, they look little odd. Honestly , there's so much more to add and correct and at this scale possibilities are endless. 1
BlrwestSiR Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Fantastic work Martin. These big scale tanks really give you so many opportunities to improve/enhance/add detail to them. 1 1
Martinnfb Posted October 13, 2023 Author Posted October 13, 2023 Thank you Carl, I just started Andy's E-8 and it's a night and day difference. Absolute joy to build. And great canvas for some obsessive detailing. Aiming for this at the end. 1 1

KevinM Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 That extra work Martin shows itself came out quite a stunning build. 2
Martinnfb Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 Thank you for the kind words Kevin. 1

FullArmor Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 Here is excellent new video about T72 and its armor. How it was cutting edge technology at its time. But quickly become obsolete by introducing new 120 mm ammo. 1 1
