TJTX Posted February 25 Posted February 25 So, I've sold off a few kits that I bought and realized I wasn't gonna build. Now I'm deciding what to get next. I'm leaning towards waiting for new releases later this year or into 2026. If you could grab anything upcoming what would it be? 1/32 only and I've already got a Kotare 109 and Spitfire coming. 2
KevinM Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Tony I am in need of cutting some kits loose I am talking maybe 100 in 1/72 and 1/48 to make room for the 1/32's just I have never sold on fleabay. as to a kit I still like a F-100 with some add-ons. 3
belugawhaleman Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I really don't need any kits right now, but I've been eyeing Hasegawa's 1/32 Raiden....It's an odd-looking aircraft that somehow appeals to me. 3
Martinnfb Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Already ordered Big Box Horton and eagerly waiting for 109K and Spitfire Vb from Kotare and Das werk ,Me Prototype.1101 . Other that that ICM will be releasing UH-60A in 1/35 and/or maybe Revell's Sea Hurricane 2c? 4
belugawhaleman Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Oh, I forgot about that Horton.....well, maybe that one too. 1 1
TJTX Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 Can't decide on the Luft 46 stuff. Maybe I should grab one and have fun with some WIF paint schemes. Sea Hurricane sounds fun too! Kinda hoping Kotare will announce something really cool soon to look forward to. 3
ScottsGT Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I literally cannot think of anything I would want to add to the stash. Of course I said that before I added the A-20 J/K, Stuka, Me 262, another P-40 to build as a K, Ming’s Ajax War Rocket, the Flying Pancake after seeing John’s build, Gee Bee R1/2…… See where this is going? I suffer from whims. Oh, speaking of. I will be adding a P-40N one day. Be it a full kit or convert an E from Tim’s parts. Oh wait….Isn’t Trumpeter bringing a Viking to market by the years end? Naa, I don’t want that. Or do I? Yea, I need to sell off some of my stash as well. I’ve got too many 1/48 C-130 kits, 1/48 helicopter kits and probably way too many Phantoms still in the stash. 4
TJTX Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 Scott, I am absolutely the same. The amount of build ideas I have in my head far exceed my time, money, and skill. Since I've rejoined building, I've tried to accept my current position of finances and time. Just last night o find about 10 kits I almost bought on Ebay because "that would be a cool build". That's why I wanted to see what the collective thought about what's out there and what's coming. I don't want to buy something and regret it when the next awesome kit shows up from Kotare, or Tamiya, HK, Eduard, etc.... 5
BlrwestSiR Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Like Martin, I've got the Big Box Horten set coming. I've also got the JetMads Draken ordered. DBMK has a new Sea Fury coming later this year. That's got my attention even though I need to finish the Fisher one on my bench. 11 hours ago, ScottsGT said: probably way too many Phantoms still in the stash. This has started happening to my stash. I've managed to go from none in 1/48 to 7 in the last couple of years. 4
ScottsGT Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Yea, I think I have 10 Phantoms and 6 F-16 kits. Of course I have all the AM and decals to option them out as well. And now it seems P-40’s are starting to build up. Thankfully at this time, most are in the display case built or almost there. I think in my stash all I have is the Trumpeter B. I do know at one time I still had a few of the old Revell kits. Built one and I swear I had an Aleutian Tiger kit, but for the life of me I cannot find it, nor do I remember selling it off. Irony is that years back I had two Hasegawa E kits in the stash. Someone was looking for one and I figured I’ll never need two of these and sold it. And last month I just bought one again and possibly another in the future. Go figure. 2
