Oh cool I have this set also and I bought ( the dollar is so cheap now ) from Eduard the cockpit and engine. So follow you for shure.

I don't think you can bend resin enough to force it in place.
Maybe cut the pipe...dril a hole in both ends...insert a brass rod and glue the rod in place when the part meets the side. Restore pipe with putty.

Hope this makes sense. Black line is the cut...green line the brass rod.

Yes, that´s my idea. But I think lower part need to be cutted too. (with piece of plastic to the middle)

Ted, normally yes, but this is problem of shrinkage after casting....

Problem with GMF set is little bit bigger, then I expect.... But I´m in 1/3 of rework...

 

white profiles is only work version....

Fight with GMF, day 4...  Two tubes cutted and bended, two extended... new lower part... 

 

GMF = SaT... small and twisted... :-( :-(

 

Still thinking about rear part of engine, because is completely coned....

I am still not a winner Ted :-D, but thank you :-) 

 

Made a new tubes main construction will be real challange. Resin tubes are useless.
