colt6 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Oh cool I have this set also and I bought ( the dollar is so cheap now ) from Eduard the cockpit and engine. So follow you for shure. Arno
mark31 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 you have my attention. Im planning to buy this kit with the same aftermarket Mark
Beychevelle Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 ouch! I don't think you can bend resin enough to force it in place.Maybe cut the pipe...dril a hole in both ends...insert a brass rod and glue the rod in place when the part meets the side. Restore pipe with putty.Hope this makes sense. Black line is the cut...green line the brass rod. Good luck 2
CruZz Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Yes, that´s my idea. But I think lower part need to be cutted too. (with piece of plastic to the middle) Thank you :-)
CruZz Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Ted, normally yes, but this is problem of shrinkage after casting.... I´m going to check it today afternoon. :-)
Doctorgaz Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Cut the pipe resin completely and instead bend bars of Evegreen the desired curvature .....
mark31 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I love the ork you have done so far. Looking forward to see how you are going to deal with this problem. Keep up the great work. Mark
CruZz Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Problem with GMF set is little bit bigger, then I expect.... But I´m in 1/3 of rework... white profiles is only work version.... 1

Paulster Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I'll defiantly be keeping the panels on mine. Way past my patience and skill levels. Good luck and keep pluggin' away.
CruZz Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Thank you for moral support guys! Fight with GMF, day 4... Two tubes cutted and bended, two extended... new lower part... GMF = SaT... small and twisted... :-( :-( Still thinking about rear part of engine, because is completely coned.... 4
CruZz Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 I am still not a winner Ted :-D, but thank you :-) Made a new tubes main construction will be real challange. Resin tubes are useless.
CruZz Posted February 19, 2015 Author Posted February 19, 2015 Please do´t use my real personal photo in my topic, thank you :-D :-D :-D 3
