Isn't it called a sprayingmat?

Cees

Well anyhoooo .. i went from spraying the mat to smudging, chipping and oiling the rigs!

Much more layers, pigments, etc.. to be added to the wood.

Managed to get some done.

Almost finished the jigs. Just need to add some oil stains and more scratches to the edges and sorts.

Sprayed my first ever Mr. Paint RLM 71 on the engine gondola. Wow..... A dream to work with.

And here's a photo I received per email by fellow member HJKR. Very happy with this one.

It shows a row of power eggs to the right in the metal maintenance jig AND it shows a row of power eggs to the left in the wooden jigs (like I'm making). On the back you see the factory stenciling with the Opel brand and serial number. Now to figure out a way to replicate this. How cool???

Here's me masking the canopy inside and outside.

The Montex masks are.... well... crappy. Most of them undersized, so need to add masking tape to a lot of locations.

I hate this part... But who doesn't??

Small progress!

I bought the CMK resin MG-15's. Then discovered these had the wrong sights. So I also bought the Master barrels.

I used the resin CMK bodies. Revell ball mount and mantel and Master barrels.

Now dipping in blackening agent.

Them Master barrels are superb but boy are those tiny sight mounts a fiddle to fold and fix. Still have nightmares about them on the 88C!

This is my fav build on here at the moment. Keep going Sir, gonna be great.

I've assembled two sets for other build in the past and when ordering them on Ebay i thought.... Here we go again!

It's great they give you extra PE mount for when you screw up. Which I did once this set.

Really enjoying this. You'll motivate me to pick up on my big mistel again.

Can I ask what matt-coat you used on the engine nacelle's? I'm still looking for a perfect flat coat that isn't "eggshell" &/or doesn't leave a fine powdery dusting ...

thanks for sharing
