Revell bf 109g 6 Elias Kuhlein white 7

This build is really looking good.  I'm amazed that you're brave enough to paint without the wings being permanently affixed to the fuselage!

Thank you Mikester, I couldn't get the wings to fit exactly on dry fit ( fuselage) without the need for filler on the top seam. But if I dry fitted wings not on fuselage no filler was needed, but then I had the Delamere's of how much work would I have doing it this way, all I have had to do was remove a very small amount from the main spine and the wings slot in nicely. Also a great way to paint and wether this way. But I am a little apprehensive fingers crossed.

WOW! Spectacular!

Thank you FarEast, I've just found you're WNW wow too!

Really WOW!!!! Just love your painting scills!!

Arno

Thank you colt6, the feelings mutual my friend.

That looks sweet as ! The mottling looks a treat. How did the join with the wings go underneath?

Great scheme choice BTW.

Cheers Bevan.

Cheers Bevin, the underneath was a nice fit, the only problem is the slight over bite near the wing radiator vents. You can see it, in the last pic,. I have seen this filled and cleaned up smooth, but I am not to worried about this

I used 5 min apoxy glue for each wing after existence dry fitting, would I do it again this way... Yes... but only if the top seam was not spot on.

What a stunning and well observed peice of work Darren!

You really have nailed that finish mate!

What colors are you using for your filters? I can see browns and greys...would this be right Darren? I now have a trumpy 24 scale G-2 to go with my Revell 32 scale G-6, and I really want a finish on my projects similar to yours.

Well I have finished, this is my 2nd aircraft in 1/32 scale one of my favourites, bf 109 g6. Forgive me for any mistakes.

Elias Kuhlein g6 white 7. In Rlm 74,75, 76 and 02 Based on Claes Sundin great profile of this aircraft.

Painted in tamiya acyclic, Eagle Cal decals, Brassin landing gear, quick boost turbocharger intake, barracuda oil cooler and quick boost joy stick.

I hope you like it, can't wait to start another.

Absolutely f#$@%&kin beautiful mate! Seriously Darren, a wonderful project - congratulations! You deserve a nice long hot bath after that one!!

Thanks Dennis,

I am pleased with her as this was my 1st go at this scale.

Mistakes made, tweaks for the next one.

Just back from a holiday my next project will start next week. I have 2 ideas fw190 or another bf 109g.. Yes I am a luftwaffe fan boy.

Thanks again, good luck with your bf.
